Silence is empty, filled with breaths from mouths
That never move no more

She talked some more, she talks now

And all the lights went out in empty rooms
And now the empty hall

I talk alone, I talk now

And all I wanted was a Chance to see you anyway

Hold me, fold me up in your arms
Faster, my love, sinking and gone

I was aware the time, I was a son before I met you dear

I talk alone, I talk now

And all the lights go out in empty rooms
And now the dirty hall

I talked alone, I talk now
And all I wanted was a Chance to see you anyway

Hold me, fold me up in your arms
Faster, my love, shrinking and gone

Hold me, my love
Telling me don't be afraid
Wouldn't you want me to swim
Wouldn't you want me to stay?

Hold me my love
Telling me won't be afraid
Wouldn't you want me to swim
Wouldn't you want me to stay

Nice song..I watched on CSI Miami too...today..I liked it. I love the description of silence at the beginning.

It's a little confusing..I'm going to listen to it a couple more times before I come to some sort of an idea on what it's about. It's about love, yeah but sort of depressing..

It's an absolutely amazing song. I think this song is really quite self explanatory... Or well at least that's what i think. No real searching needed for a deeper meaning...

This song is about seeing a loved one after they have passed away. Trying to make it to a hospital for instance but being too late, or knowing they have passed but still going just to see them and say goodbye.

    I love this song.

Silence is empty, filled with breaths from mouths that never move no more

she talked some more, she talks now -- It's a little hard to explain, but i think this means that what used to be a girl who was happy, and and spoke of what was to come,. has passed away ( breaths from mouths that never move no more )

and all the lights went out in empty rooms and now the empty hall

I talk alone, i talk now

-- i think this is taking place in a hostpital, where she is in her room, but it still feels completely empty, since her actual prescence is not there anymore. ( and all the lights went out in empty rooms, and now the empty hall )

And i think this man is explaining how he kept emotions bottled up from this girl, and he cant tell her what he wanted to anymore. but now, he needs to say what he feels. ( I talk alone, i talk now )

And all I wanted was a Chance to see you anyway

hold me, fold me up in your arms faster, my love, sinking and gone

-- This explains that this person just wanted a last chance to see this person before she passes, even though there's nothing more that can be done to save her. -- ( hold me, fold me up in your arms, faster, my love, sinking and gone ) This is probably explaining that he just wished he had some closure, and he wishes he could be with her, because when he is with her everything seems alright. But he is rushing because he knows they dont have much time left, but before he can get to her, their love is gone, along with the girl, and she passes away. All too fast.

Hold me, my love Telling me don't be afraid Wouldn't you want me to swim Wouldn't you want me to stay?

-- I belive this means that he wants the girl to tell him not to fear what's to come in the future, and he needs her to tell him to wait for her, and to be strong. But he doesnt understand why instead she wants him to move on, and be happy, despite all of this. ( Wouldn't you want me to swim, Wouldn't you want me to stay? )

    My Opinion

This is my second favourite song by Walters... #1 being Where We Stand. Absolutely beautiful. Happy to have heard him live last year.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
