"Mama" as written by Salvatore P. Erna, Tony Rombola, James Shannon Larkin and Rob Merrill....
Oh mama what have I gone and done?
With all these years that I've been gone
My life changed me way too fast
I don't know if I could last

Help me find my way, and mama save me
Help me find today, mama please come and save me, oh

Oh mama if you could've only seen
Everything I've done and where I've been
If only one thing I would ask
Why did you let me grow up so goddamn fast?

Help me find my way, and mama save me
Help me find today, mama please come and save me, oh

There's nothing more that you can do
It's gone beyond what you can't help me through
An emptiness has covered me
Oh mama come and save me

Help me find my way, and mama save me
Help me find today, mama please come and save me, oh
Help me find my way, and mama save me
Help me find today, mama please come and save me, oh

There's nothing more that you can do
It's gone beyond what you can't help me through
An emptiness has covered me
Oh mama come and save me
Oh mama come and save
Oh save me, no!
Oh please mama save

General Commentjust one word for dmk89..............LOL!.......XD

For me this song is not for only the change from starter to recognized rocker, but for all those times when he/or anybody feel troubled, and of course why not, for the love he has for his mom..... well.... simply this song needs no paraphrasis... and for the influence, I think his most important influence has been his personal life, not just hearing to another rocker....

General CommentGreat Song. This song has a lot of influence from Ozzy Osbourne's Mama, Im Coming Home. The song's meaning I think is simple, its about how much he's changed from being a simple man to being a rockstar.

General CommentYeah this song rocks! although dmk89, ozzy osbourne's "mama, im coming home" was about sharon and not his actual mom.

General CommentThis song kicks the proverbial ass.
Seems to me that it's about Sully's devotion to his mom, although he also implies that his mother forced him to fly or die, and didn't really help him.
That being said, I'm basically adding onto what xxwindfangxx said, so go ahead and call me cheap.

My InterpretationSully has made no bones about hiding his past. and his mother has said that most of her grey hairs are because of Sully. he was a naughty boy in his youth, but in regards to where he grew up, it's no surprise. they came from nothing, they had nothing, they fought *hard*.. and his mother *always* bailed him out. it's prolly his special thank you to her, in a way.
