One, two, three, four
Lately I have been frequenting bad houses
Places no respectable man would be seen
I hate myself for my weakness
My past sickens me
I tell myself I will not go
Even as I drive there
I hate myself for my weakness
My past sickens me

General CommentProbably referring to visiting a prostitute/brothel on a superficial level but, looking deeper, its about something that we don't want to like, shouldn't like, but do - a perversion we try to stop ourselves from but can't. Chilling.

General Commentdespite the title being printed on the J-card (yes, i owned this on cassette), throughout high school i thought he was singing about "bathhouses" and that the song was about, like, a closeted guy guiltily indulging himself. of course, as the above poster points out, that works, too.

General CommentI agree, the only thing I can think of this being is about a prostitution house. There are some out here in the Chicago area (where Albinis from) so it wouldn't be too farfetched as something he observed to garner inspiration.

Musically, this really reminds me of The Fall... specifically the song Mansion.

General Commentit's only a very good parody of "in your house" by The Cure from the album "seventeen seconds"...
