I met you in Milwaukee
In between the heat and rain
I hoped that you would talk to me
I hoped that you would feel the same
I made my way to you
To my surprise
My heart stopped and all I felt
Were butterflies

It's alright, now you're gone
It's alright, you were wrong
It's alright, I'm growing up
And my life goes on

We drove to Cincinnati
And Wednesday on to Tennessee
We sang intol the morning
And Nashville is where you kissed me
But I was subconsciously too naive
You'd make your way to her
When I would leave

It's alright, now you're gone
It's alright, you were wrong
It's alright, I'm growing up
And my life goes on

You broke my heart into a million little pieces
I have no feelings left for you to kill

It's alright, now you're gone
It's alright, you were wrong
It's alright, I'm growing up
And my life goes on

It's alright, I don't care
It's alright, I'm not scared
It's alright, I'm doing fine
And my life goes on
Oh yeah, oh yeah

General CommentThis song rules. I think the meaning is obvious, the guy she loved cheated on her and even though they shared good times, she's over him now and her life is moving on to better things.
