And I just wish there was more to me
than this lust.
But you, you're a much better person
I just wish there was more to you than this love.
But I believe in this pain
I believe in their suffering
like i believe that heros are securing us completely

For the end of my true thoughts are finally sifting
but it's too late, you know it, it always is
too good at pretending in situations like these.
No, No, No they don't exist

She's a television, She's pages in my magazine
you were born as a convenience to fill a small page in my self-esteem
She was untounchable, she was inaccesible
So i made you, I made you up
Tonight you're so much better wrapped up in fantasy

Your eyes painted her indescription
My tongue shot out blanks for the word "Ammunition"
She painted another one of those mixed messages on the inside
of my mind, my mind, my mind.

She's a television, She's pages in my magazine
you were born as a convenience to fill a small page in my self-esteem
She was untounchable, she was inaccesible
So i made you, I made you up
Tonight you're so much better wrapped up in fantasy

And I just wish there was more to me
than this lust.
But you, you're a much better person
I just wish there was more to you than this love.
But I believe in this pain
I believe in their suffering
like i believe that heros are securing us completely

I believe that heros are securing us completely.

General CommentWell first off, I can't believe this song has no comments on it. Out of all of THT's songs this has to be one with the most character to it. I personally think its about a guy that likes the girl hes with but he is always wanting something more.

"And I just wish there was more to me
    than this lust.
But you, you're a much better person
I just wish there was more to you than this love."

he's only with his girl now for the sex and not because he loves her like she loves him and he wishes she were better.

    but I don't know,
I'm not that good at interpretation of songs. =]

General CommentI agree that this is one of THT's best and most musically interesting songs, I too was surprised there weren't more comments on it.

This song is about a guy who finds a girl really attractive and wants to hook-up with her. She on the other hand, has really strong feelings for him, but isn't willing to hook-up since her feelings aren't returned.

The guy fantasizes about her and imagines that they're together physically. I think he even hooks up with another girl, who he considers just a tool to partially his ultimate fantasy if being with the one girl, because he's pretending he's with the one girl.
"you were born as a convenience to fill a small page in my self-esteem
She was untounchable, she was inaccesible
So i made you, I made you up
Tonight you're so much better wrapped up in fantasy"

General Comment^I disagree a little bit...
The girl that he is talking about is in love with him, but he just sees her as a hook-up, she is purely physical to him. He has lust and he wishes it was more so he doesn't have to hurt her, but she has love. There is another girl, possibly an ex-girlfriend or just a fantasy that he is completely in love with, and she is "a television" and "pages in my magazine". Since he cannot have her, he hooks up with this other girl who is completely infatuated with him. He says she was born as a convenience, as in the only purpose she has to him is to give him sexual pleasure and fill some sort of void without emotional attachment on his end. He says she is so much better in wrapped up in fantasy, as in it is better when he is with her but fantasizes about the unattainable other girl. Maybe even further, she agrees to the love-less sex because she is so taken with him that she thinks anything is better than nothing at all. Still, she might know that she is only a sex object, and wishes that she was better and thinks "if only he liked me more, maybe i can make him love me" etc
I think the title says it all: lust dumpster. The girl that is love with him is just a receptacle for his sexual energy. He loads his lust on to her, but it is misplaced at her expense.

Amazing song by an amazing band!
