"Love Missile F1-11" as written by Bernard (gb 2) Sumner, Johnny Marr and Neil Francis Tennant....
It's a test
It's a test
It's a test

The US bombs cruising overhead
But there goes my love rocket red

Shoot it up
Oh, shoot it up

Blaster bomb bomb bomb ahead
Multi millions still unfed
Amondo teeno giving head

Shoot it up
Shoot it up

Hold me, shake me, I'm all shook up
Psycho maniac interblend
Shoot it up
Now shoot it up

Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up

It's a test
Designed to provoke and emotional response
It's a test
Designed to provoke and emotional response

Teenage crime now fashion's dead
Shoot it up
There goes my love rocket red

Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Amondo teeno giving head
Shoot it up
Now shoot it up
There goes my love rocket red
Shoot it up
Now shoot it up
Oh, shoot it up

Oh, shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up

Let's shoot it up
Shoot it up

General CommentStill sounds fresh, 22 years after it's release (unlike many other synthesiser-based hits of the 80's). For me it's a tongue-in-cheek visualisation of world's top subjects in the 80's (whose unfortunately haven't changed much). Sex, war, etc. And that 'shooting it up'... Great use of movie samples too.

General CommentWeren't at least a few of them massive heroin addicts? Shoot it up! If you wanna ignore woes entirely, heroin's your man! And I suppose it could be your love. It's a committed relationship, and it often makes you happy. Heroin's a great way to raise your mood and get rid of those blues. It's brown, not red, but blood in a syringe flashes red, before you squirt it in.

It's my life, and it's my wife!

Just a thought, who knows what it's about?

General CommentOh, and what's "Amondo Teeno"? He sings it more like "Mondocino". And why do we care who they're suckin' off?

General CommentThis song is double meaning from top to bottom. Starting from title till the last line. Love Missile? A military weapon? His erected penis (But there goes my love rocket red)? An heroin injection?? Shoot it up: Heroin going in? Penis ejaculating? Military missile being launched? Mondo teeno giving head?? Nedless to say. Am I the only one who see this or its me who's got an durty mind?

General CommentTo me this was always about ignoring the world's woes, whether that was a comment on other people ignoring them or the writer ignoring them, I am still not sure. Either way there is a comparison of the missles that fire into the sky with his (or their) 'red love missile' that shoots.
