I’ve got a pistol in a paper bag
That says you’re not sorry
That says you’re not sorry
That says you’re not sorry

Who would have thought you said you were
Ready to sacrifice the cure
When there’s an art to staying clean
In a place where smoking is the scene

I’ve got a pistol and a plastic bag
Full of hallucinogenic shwag
We know the guilt will drift away
As soon as we forget about today

I’ve got a bottle and a gas soaked rag
That says you’re into me
That says you’re into me
That says you’re into me

Who would have thought that it just begun
Ready to sacrifice your lungs
When your stress is the first thing on your list
And looking cool comes

General CommentI think...that he is comparing all of the other things that this person could be doing that would hurt themselves just as badly (relating the lyrics to the title) and he seems really...dissapointed in this person, I think his last few lines are kind of funny
"Who would have thought that it just begun
    Ready to sacrifice your lungs
When your stress is the first thing on your list
    And looking cool comes"
...this is a common excuse for people who smoke...and it's ironic because they don't want to feel stressed and smoking is known to help with anxiety but won't their declining health be the biggest stressor in the long run? Since "smoking is the scene" this person must also be oe who likes to fit in and gave up on what he referred to as the cure...probably refering to not smoking, curing your future and your health. I also love the lines
"We know the guilt will drift away
As soon as we forget about today"
because you know it's true, when he's done giving this person hell about it, and the conversation is over...they will go back to whatever they do and this person will just forget about it and continue smoking. Funny but not, I really just like his wording, he's a smart-ass. I like that.
