"X Amount Of Words" as written by and Justin Furstenfeld....
Relapse
Prevent trigger intent
Now drown
High strung
Say X amount of words

You're solar, bipolar
Panic disorder
Seems harder and harder and harder
Still you try to control it

You mold, you mold
Yeah you shape to mold
Oh you're bold you're bold
But your shape is bold

You're a symptom superficial
To what they call knowing you
Minus the speed,
Could you imagine the phobia?

Your brain is faulty wiring
the reason for tiring
Keep treating the curse,
Imagine the worst
Systematic, sympathetic
Quite pathetic, apologetic, paramedic
Your heart is prosthetic

A plate of quite peculiar
On a dish of my own
A tablespoon of feather
tickle me to the bone
Give me recipes for happy
with the chemicals gone
Drinking freedom from a bottle
to the tune of belong

I'm sick of shaking
never waking
from the hell I achieve
I never knew you till you left me
with the crying disease

Another curing, reassuring
way to buckle the knees
So mistreated, I repeated
Never blessing your sneeze

Now deleted and defeated
I will stand on my own
Yeah your memory that punches me
has broken the bone

Give me recipes for sorry
I'm admitting I'm wrong
Still your memory that punches me
has broken the bone

General CommentThis is my favorite song on their CD, I think.

I think he's just singing about a fake, someone he put his time into just to realize it was all a fake.

General Commentdeffinately agree with the corrections there

    awesome song

the first half seems almost orwellian, being monitored, made with prostetic hearts, all being the same. even the beat of the song seems to imply that, with the cheering in the background, and such a strong beat creating a feeling of marching.

the second half seems to be about being left to the side, and forgotten about, perhaps by a girl, or perhaps by the orwellian society implied.

    I dunno
I like to think it's the orewellian society, where he can stand and look at it from the outside, seeing how soulless it really is, but it results in the society crushing him and leaving him behind.
and thus, it's just about the meat grinder society of today breaking people down

I doubt anyone else sees it like that, but who knows?
    I like it my way

General Commentit has bits of calling you in it but im thinking its meaning is something along the lines hes sorry for saying sorry cause this person has kept kicking him down and it doesnt matter how many times he says sorry it doesnt change anything

General Commentokay, this and almost every other song on their new cd is about justin's bipolar disorder. this song is him trying to explain what it feels like to live with this disease. he's kind of giving us a "behind the scenes" as to what it's like dealing with this every day, and how he's trying to control it.

    Give me recipies for happy
    With the chemicals gone
    Drinking freedom from a bottle
    To the tune of belong.
Right here he's talking about his past drug/alcohol addiction, which he has said was his way of trying to deal with his disease.

General CommentI knew it had to be "we're recording you". Whew. Great song. Very "Big Brother" / 1984-esque.

General CommentIt's "we're recording MAYBE", no big difference

This one makes me want to get up and dance, like finally getting understanding of the illness and understanding it and accepting it. The happiness that comes with all of that comes through in the beat.

General CommentI took this in the sense that there's a relationship he once had, not neccesarily a relationship with a lover, it could be a family member, or a friend... And that friend betrayed him, so he wants to seek revenge "trigger intent"

    but doesn't

    "Give me recipies for sorry
    I'm admitting I'm wrong"

    But he never forgets

"Still your memory that punches me
    Has broken the bone."

that he was betrayed or whatever it was that causes this halt in their relationship

"I never knew you till you left me with the
    Crying Disease"

The rest supports I feel supports what I got from this song

    "Your solar bipolar panic
    Disorder seems
    Harder and Harder and Harder
Still you try to control it"

This disorder that the "other" had created hardships between the two.

    "I'm sick of shaking
Never waking from the hell I achieve"

    He was perturbed by it..

    "So mistreated I repeated never
    Blessing your Sneeze"

Being mistreated created utter contempt for the "other"

    "Your brain is faulty wiring
    The reason for tiring
    Keep treating the curse
    Imagine the worst"

The other has a disorder, and because the other's is retarded "your brain is faulty wiring" they just keep treating the wrong conditions

    "Systematic, Sympathetic
    Quite pathetic,
    Apologetic Paramedic
    Your heart is prosthetic"

    Self Explanatory.

If I say what I think about the rest, it'll just be tiresome and redundant.. So yesh, that's what I got from this song.

And it indeed makes me move. ^^
