One touch, taste, the thrill so great
My flesh, breath, forbidden fruit you waste
They say I'm pure,
Naive and such a bore,
But now you know
The truth told,
I'm gonna give it away

Clip my wings this angel's falling down
Sick, sick, sick, and wrong
Let's go, let's feel, let's fuck around
Sick, sick, sick, and wrong

Your guilt, it never tires, it wants to bring down Babylon
Your want, desire, your urge is way too strong,
It's never safe,
When we're together,
A supernova when we collide,
I start to shake,
I start to tremble,
I lose control when i come inside

Clip my wings this angel's falling down
Sick, sick, sick, and wrong
Let's go, let's feel, let's fuck around
Sick, sick, sick, and wrong

Can't believe no one has commented on this yet.

The song is obviously about sex. It seems like it's about someone who was seen as being...pure (?) in terms of their love-life...not "fucking around" with other people. But something happened that changed their viewpoint on it, and now they want to go out and be promiscuous. I dunno. That's kinda what I'm seeing in the lyrics.

Great song. The Mayfield Four were very underrated. But I'm glad that things happened the way they did because we have Alter Bridge now.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
