"Beautiful Dreamer" as written by Kori Gardner Hammel and Jason Edward Hammel....
You're spending too long
The people were wrong
They don't even know we're moving on

I just want to feel the taste of the meal
And not the routine of dining here

We'll be so sorry
If we got to the shadow of death
Having missed all the sun on your face
It's thrilling for you now

We do it all the time, do all the time
We're the dreamer in the beautiful mess
And we do it all the time, do all the time

I just want to feel the taste of the meal
And not the routine of dining here
Let's lay here awhile
All the sounds will compile
Forgetting to sleep, we'll ponder this

We'll be so sorry
If we got to the shadow of death
Having missed all the sun on your face
It's thrilling for you now

We do it all the time, do all the time
We're the dreamer in the beautiful mess
And we do it all the time, do all the time

Here's an alibi
We love the voices don't know why
There was a time we lived in truth
Let's bring it back

We do it all the time, do all the time
We're the dreamer in the beautiful mess
And we do it all the time, do all the time

We'll be so sorry
If we got to the shadow of death
Having missed all the sun on your face
It's thrilling for you now

Here's an alibi
We love the voices don't know why
There was a time we lived in truth
Let's bring it back

General CommentThis is my favourite from the new album. Absolutely amazing. For me, and I'm probably wrong, its about seizing the day. "We'll be so sorry if we were on the verge of death and we'd missed out the great opportunities life offered us"

General Commentthis is also my favorite song from bring it back.
    i'm obsessed with the lines
"I just want to feel the taste of the meal
And not the routine of dining here".

i agree with mogwin that it's about seizing the day. and i also think it's about not spending a lot of time on un-necessary activity and to be truthful to ourselves.

I think that part is for their daughter.

General Commenti got something different out of this song-
i felt like it could be about their marriage and how they need to be careful to not let it get too routine, or they'll miss out on alot. they want to keep it exciting, like in the beginning of their marriage. it's pretty apparent that jason and kory have an amazing relationship, but i think this is something every married couple comes across at least once in their marriage.

General Commentim pretty sure the song is talking about problems in society-whether conforming to the norms or making schedules, people tend to miss out on the simple pleasures of spontaneity. we all do it one time or another by getting caught up in the trend of society resulting in complication and ultimate demise. mates understands the importance of needing to really bring it back.
