"Don't Know Why" as written by and Fred E. Ahlert Roy Turk....
There must be something wrong with me
I get so tired I can't sleep
The voices in my head are haunting my dreams
No matter how I try
To kill the thoughts inside
I can not
I can not hide

The mirror's staring back at me
The crack and lines along my face
The times I try to get things straight but could not
I know how hard I try
To keep myself alive
I don't know
I don't know why

Funny how
When the darkest of knights falls down
Worry that I will never see sun shining again
The world goes round
What comes up doesn't get back down
Wonder if I can stick around
Feel the light of the day

Sometimes I feel like I am dying down here
I feel a raging storm inside of my skin
The dial tone is never no ones
I feel the weight of time
Wonder when I will die
I don't know
I don't know why

General Comment"The dial tone is never no ones" should be "The dial tone is there but no one is holding"

General CommentThe meaning of the song is pretty self explanatory... however, if you're in the right (wrong?) place in your life, listening to this song can be a rather powerful experience.

General Commentit's funny that the first dude to comment on this song said that the new CD doesn't sound like "that in reverie shiz," when this song has a very In Reverie feel to it. the new CD definitely does rule, though.

General Commentalso, i think that "What comes up doesn’t get back down" should be "what was up is again back down."

General CommentI read in a Rollingstone article that he wrote this song when he was contemplating suicide after the failure of "In Reverie," and now this song is therapeutic to him.

And i thought it was "The dial tone is there but no one is calling..."
