"Quixoticelixer" as written by and John Frusciante Chad Smith....
Kick back a little bit just to watch and see
Getting sicker by the minute with debauchery
Whatever your pleasure, I'm your punk
On the brink of sinkin', baby, but not yet sunk
How I listened, lo' when you told me
That I was all you had to hold
I wish it was so when you told me
That you were solid gold
Gravity-free is she, look at her
Highness on a mattress full of anti-matter
You never left a very mellow impression
Your smell, or your "go to hell" expression
Quixoticelixer might
But it will probably not fix your bite
Tell me now, tell me how
Did I your lipstick on my kite

I love this weather
It's a perfect storm
Just keep it coming
In its perfect form
I love this weather
'Cause it keeps me warm
Just keep it coming
In its perfect form

Everyday depression in a beautiful dress, oh
Lady made a beautiful mess I guess
Dedicated mind in a medicated state
Is a highly overrated fate
Terrible, is it so
What you told me there is such a thing
Did you know that you glow when you go
From winter into spring

I love this weather
It's a perfect storm
Just keep it coming
In its perfect form
I love this weather
'Cause it keeps me warm
Just keep it coming
In its perfect form

The madder the boy, the sadder the song
That's a wicked fate but the sick get strong
Mad boy, sad song
A wicked fate, but the sick get strong
Nobody's right and everyone's wrong
I refuse to punt on fourth and long
Mad boy, sad song
Wicked fate but the sick get...

Kick back a little bit just to watch and see
Getting sicker by the minute with debauchery
Whatever your pleasure, I'm your punk
On the brink of sinkin', baby, but not yet sunk
How I listened, lo' when you told me
That I was all you had to hold
I wish it were so when you told me
That you were solid gold

I swear to god I could not hurt you
I've got to be inside your virtue
I can't contain my urge to search you

I stand before; there's now no curfew
I long to be inside your virtue
My heart is swollen when I search you

I swear to god I could not hurt you
My heart is swollen when I search you
I swear to god I could not hurt you

I swear to god I could not hurt you
I've got to be inside your virtue
I can't contain my urge to search you

General CommentOk so first off, the title quixoticelixer.
Quixotic is a hallucination state of mind. It could be imagination, it could be intoxication. An elixer is a potion, more leaning on intoxication. So plainly, its about drugs.

"Kick back a little bit just to watch and see
Getting sicker by the minute with debauchery"

at first, cool this is fun yeah!
but as time goes by, you fall in its trap.

"Whatever your pleasure I'm your punk"
Later in Anthony's life, alot of his musical pursuits are put on hold due to drugs, the punk to his pleasure.

"You never look at very mellow impressions
Smell you with your going to hell expression
    Quixoticelixer might
But it will probably not fix your bite"
I'm not sure but i think he is reffering to his old girlfriend Jennifer. They had heroin sex sessions and she always got angry at Anthony and there relationship was in turmoil. Not even the quixotic elixer can "fix her bite."

"Dedicated mind did a medicated state
    Is a highly overrated fate"
Again back to his musical pursuits, he had all thes great ideas that were put on hold because he always got high.

    As for the chorus,
    "I love this weather
    It's a perfect storm
    Just keep it coming
    In its perfect form"
I think his high let him fade away his problems temporarily. It's perfect, and he doesn't want to face reality.
He wants to be high forever.

My OpinionOkay, I first have to say this is one of my favorite RHCP songs and I can’t believe it hasn’t gotten on Californication.

    Now, on to the meaning:
I think it’s about being in love with someone and knowing they have to leave and that you’re gonna miss them. At first, the rhythm. You know it’s gonna happen, sad, slow, then faster and faster… until the pression builds up and explodes in the end.
    The verses…
“Kick back a little just to watch and see
Getting sicker by the minute with debauchery”
Again, it’s getting worse and worse by the minute.
“On the brink of sinkin' baby, but not yet sunk”
Sinking is inevitable, it just hasn’t happened yet
    “Quixoticelixer might
But it will probably not fix your bite”
You can try and stop all that’s happening but you will most probably not succeed.
    “I love this weather
    It's the perfect storm
    Just keep it coming
    In its perfect form
    I love this weather
    'Cause it keeps me warm
    Just keep it coming
    In its perfect form”
Not wanting anything to change, wanting to freeze the moment
“That's a wicked fate but the sick gets strong”
    Again, pressure building up
    “Nobody's right and everyone's wrong
I refuse to punt on fourth and long”
Wanting it to be over as soon as possible so you quit “punting fourth and long”
“I swear to god I could not hurt you
I've got to be inside your virtue
I can't contain my urge to search you
I stand before you there's no curfew”
Finally facing the moment, which is very tensioned
    That’s how I get it (:

General CommentI'm not sure either but instead of "the seat gets drawn" I hear "the sick get strong"

General CommentSorry for the double post. IN my opinion that would also fit in with the rest of the lyrics such as "Getting sicker by the minute with the bunch of me".

General CommentYeah, those lyrics arn't right man
Firstly it's 'getting sicker by the minute with debauchery'
Then there is a bunch of stuff that need fixin'
but i think that the lyrics to the song are talking about how people need to stop being greedy and only worrying about themselves; which flows quite well with the theme of the ablum[Californication]. But then its talking about those who arn't greedy will end up on top because they won't be destroyed by overwhelming themselves.

General CommentYeah i hear "with debauchery" as well. My take on the song is a feeling of really wanting to be with someone and not wanting the feeling to go away.

    "I love this weather
    It's a perfect storm
    Just keep it coming
    In its perfect form
    I love this weather
    'Cause it keeps me warm
    Just keep it coming
    In its perfect form"

Sounds like he is happy in this state and doesnt want it to change.
