And even after it all, I make it through every day
And your familiar face is now lost in the fray
And if I called you to see what's going on
Would you even answer or have you moved on?

So what's it like on the other side?
Would you stay now?
From bar to bar just to get by
Would you stay now?
And if I asked you, would you come along?
Would you stay now?
'Cause without you it's not the same song

So many years put on the line
So many tears I've spilt like cheap wine
Now my radio plays a different song
About two old friends, what went wrong?

So what's it like on the other side?
Would you stay now?
From bar to bar just to get by
Would you stay now?
And if I asked you, would you come along?
Would you stay now?
'Cause without you it's not the same song

General CommentMy best guess would be Elvis wrote this about their ex bass player Ruben. Once Ruben was out of the band, they just haven't had that same sound that Los Angeles got from Elvis, Ruben and Ramiro.
