Here - follow
Hollow are these haunted hills
Far below the ground
Searchers in the deep reveal
You could have been
Caught up in
All those empty odds
Alive but not awake
Promises
Am I seeping through?

Are you an angel
Whose ship ran aground?
Can't get a grip
On this planet you've found
Never to look down
Trade in my halo
For feet on the ground

Born in motion
Forward is your only course
Plunge the gaping edge
Fallen into flesh and bone
You could have been
Caught up in
All those empty odds
Alive but not awake
Promises
Am I seeping through?

Are you an angel
Whose ship ran aground?
Can't get a grip
On this planet you've found
Never to look down
Trade in my halo
For feet on the ground

Are you an angel
Whose ship ran aground?
Can't get a grip
On this planet you've found
Never to look down
Trade in my halo
For feet on the ground

Are you an angel?
Are you an angel?
Trade in my halo
For feet on the ground

General CommentThis song is bassiclay how god sent the devil out of heaven. How he says "Trade in my halo, For feet on the ground." is were the devil was no longer an angel because he messed up big in heaven. personally i do not believe the devil was ever an angel. i do beleive in god and jesus very deeply but i do not believe the devil was ever sent out of heaven.

General CommentDude...they have four CD's out already, and one of them is live. Look stuff up before asking about it. Saves pointless comments like this one I'm typing from appearing.

General CommentThis song is part of the Wake Pig compilation. I think the whole album describes a persons journey through life in order. Alien Angel is the first song and thus symbolizes the beginning. i.e birth.
It describes how we get thrown onto this planet (fallen into flesh and bone) without a clue and our minds are blank. We find ourselves in a society that is uptight and rigid. The system is in place and we are molded into the consumer culture and everything else that comes with it. This is in tune with the Alien Angel video.
Basically, in the beginning, we are all saints (angels), pure and uncorrupted. Joey is addressing us and talking about our youth when he say.. "are you an angel whose ship ran aground, can't get a grip on this planet you've found.."
Joey also expresses his anger at how we keep blindly moving forward into society without ever pondering about who we really are, how we got here, could there be a purpose.. Society does this to us. It gives us reasons to live and die for, even though those reasons do not explain why we are here in the first place.. Joey's own lyrics from his solo album also seem to resonate this thinking.. "Who do you think you are? You're an insect in a jar!"
The album progresses through a person's life till it ultimately ends at Amaze Disgrace which talks about death (Your life, blood bleeds, along your wrist). It also mentions the underground where all dead souls supposedly went according to Greek Mythology.

General CommentMan, this band is so talented, yet has so little fans. It's a shame to see.

General Comment"trading my halo for feet on the ground"

Means he's giving up religion for a dose of reality - trading off superstition for actually living in the real world.

General Commentmonticello, I apologize for my original harshness, but honestly, this site is about the meanings behind lyrics, not about what albums are out by what bands. If you really want to know, look it up. They've got an official website, and it's even linked to on this page. Please do some research before asking questions that could easily be answered with the click of a button.
