"Last Quarter" as written by and William Toby Martin....
Deep inside their armored vaults they keep your pathologic faults
It's hard to know your body when you don't know where it starts and the drugs end
"I know, I know"

He came on late in the last quarter
Did it for the sons and daughters
If I prayed I'd pray for order
Or at least just one more day

I carry on. I wear clean shirts. I want to cry so much it hurts
"I know, I know"

He came on late in the last quarter
Did it for the sons and daughters
If I prayed I'd pray for order
Or at least just one more day

He came on late in the last quarter
Did it for the sons and daughters
If I prayed I'd pray for order
Or at least just one more day

General CommentI think the lyrics go "Oh No Oh No" not "I know I know".
I also think that the last line in the chorous says "Please just one more day" not "Or atleast just one more day"
I love this song and I think it might be about a sportstar who kinda stuffed up his life, but his fans still love him.?? I dunno thats kinda what I think it is.

General CommentThe lyrics don't give you much to go on, but I think the clue lies in the second line "It's hard to know your body when you don't know where it starts and the drugs end."

I think it's about drugs - someone who is lost completely in an addiction - despair is written all over this song:
"I want to cry so much it hurts"
"If I prayed I'd pray for order
Or at least just one more day"
