"Time of Your Song" as written by and Jimmy Douglass Ivan Corraliza....
The world is moving to the song I hear,
Who's that singing, wind is rushing in my ear,
Mind gushing memories almost lost everything,
Felony and fellows running in my dream,
We were in the van where the hits were driving,
Saw myself In the highlands at age 13
And I'm asking questions to the present day me,
Moving backwards down the hill see we were posting.

Moonlight illuminate my night and my days sun ray make the people say
And a vision something's missing so they're screaming out loud
Keep my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds.
I'm the arrow, you're my bow, shoot me forth and I will go
And I know and I go and I go get up and go
Make me feel it's for real tell me what you know.

I don't need to glorify,
Ate the apple of the tree and tried to lie,
In the garden I'll remember
That's when I started to sing
I said death brings life into uncertain things,
Cut some slack for me
Sun setting autumn breeze
Sound is moving like a chorus
Keep hearing that melody,
Check the radio but there's nothing playing,
Check the radio again but there's nothing playing.

Rewind!

Swing low, sweet chariot of flames
Change my name, yo!
It was always the same,
Till if only what you find when you climb,
Check the radio but of all that shines there's no time,
My life is making your mind work in overtime,
But along the line you'll have to pay for the crime.
Slow it down, you turbo too soon,
Vroom vroom then you want to blast off unto the moon,
But you might get trapped in a temple of doom,
You might get trapped in a temple of doom.

I'm the arrow, you're my bow, shoot me forth and I will go
And I know and I go and I go get up and go
Make me feel it's for real tell me what you know.
Tell me what you know, tell me what you know.

General Commenta few missed lyrics, here's what i hear

    *
Felony dem fellows running in my dream
    *
    Classroom’s not for me
    *
    Change my name, No!
    *
Check the radio again and all that shines there's no time
My lines will make your mind work in overtime
    *
Till you slow it down, use turbo too soon
Vroom vroom then wanna blast off unto the moon
    *
    Chorus:
Make a deal, its for real, tell me what you know
    *

This song is pretty cryptic, but I think the basis is that Matisyahu feels lucky to be alive because of all the crazy shit he used to get into when he was young. Now he's on the other side, is looking back, and giving advice to those still caught up in self-destructive ways. I believe there are also themes of integrity, humility, and karma/do unto others/golden rule, pick your flavor. I think there are also some literal references to his career. That's all!

General Commenti can really identify with this song, which is probably why i listen to it all the time. i dont think you necessarily have to view it as finding god, though that would the case for him. i think its about learning from your actions and experiences in order to become a better person in this world.

General CommentGreat song, the lyric corrections posted above are terribly wrong, the starting lyrics are correct. Best song in the world to get roasted to.

General CommentI agree with you bensande....nicely put. How can anyone not like this song?

His lines are making my mind work overtime. Some of this song is cryptical (and I'm glad). Like the part whrere he says "Death brings life into uncertain things" I take that to mean maybe someone is alive and they dont beleive in God and their spark is gone (maybe a Grandpa that lost his wife and has nothing to live for)...then he dies and finds everyone he loves and feels great again and has purpose restored. just a thought...

General CommentYou can't have purpose restored unless you restore it yourself. No one will be a safety net for you. If you fall, you have to get up. Rarely will a helping hand show through the darkness that is life.

General CommentThis songs lyrics, really go with the intermental music attached, i can realte to this song in times of mental ilness suffering, and times of getting really baked, but in the end the lyrics refer to a transfer from a miserable/dangerous type of living, to a life of being awake, he can really reach out to any one with this song, not dissing drugs, nor indorcing, though you can tell he talks about some stoner experinces or memories in it, it took me a while to decode this song, my result is it has a meening to him, but he wants the listener to relate to it in his own way,
It takes a poetic genius to write something like this
