"Son of Jaguar E" as written by Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge....
Traveling home, all alone
I caught you with my eye
You came inside to hitch a ride
With no real reason why
So solid gold in overalls
You turned and faced to me
And all around, the purring sound
You said get me home for tea
We shook some rugs and then reef-up
On a bonnet made for 3

You're the boy for me
Son of Jaguar 'E'

We drove on to the shore
Fresh orange peel, spoked alloy wheels
And foot down to the floor
We're in a trance, it's nature's dance
And still you're up for more

You're the girl for me
I'm son of Jaguar 'E'
You're the boy for me
Son of Jaguar 'E'

You walked off through the rain
To catch your train, I don't entertain
We'll ever meet again

General CommentLaughing my ass of at "we shook some rugs and then reef-up", whatever the fuck that means. It's "we took some drugs and then we fucked"

Song MeaningThanks for confirming my ears "jfugelso" I read that non-sense line about shaking rugs and reef up? and thought what the hell are they listening to, as it is clearly what jfugelso wrote. I think he is describing a threesome. Is this just somebody mishearing the lyrics very badly and in a totally absurd manner? Or is this site prudish about the lyrics that get printed?? The lyrics clearly allude to a casual sex relationship with a hitchhiker. Less clear to me is whether there is a third involved as he sings "we took some drugs and the we fucked on a bonnet made for 3" ......seems to suggest a third is involved.
