This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
I'm sitting here in the boring room
It's just another rainy sunday afternoon
I'm wasting my time
I've got nothing to do
I'm hanging around, I'm waiting for you
But nothing ever happens
And I wonder
I'm driving around in my car
I'm driving to fast, I'm driving to far
I'd like to change my point of view
I feel so lonely, I'm waiting for you
But nothing ever happens
And I wonder
I wonder how, I wonder why
Yesterday you told me about the blue blue sky
And all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree
I'm turning my head up and down
I'm turnin' turnin' turnin' turnin' turnin' around
And all that I can see is just another lemon tree
Sing
Da da da da da di rub da
da ra ra ra di rub da
da ra ra ra du rub da
dab di di dum
I'm sitting here I missed the part
I'd like to go out taking a shawl?
But there's a heavy cloud inside my head
I feel so tired put myself into bed
Well nothing ever happens
And I wonder
Isolation
Is not good for me
Isolation
I don't want to sit on a lemon tree
I'm stepping around in the desert of joy
Maybe any how I'll get another toy
And everything will happen
And you wonder
I wonder how
I wonder why
Yesterday you told me about the blue blue sky
And all that I can see is just another lemon tree
I'm turning my head up and down(aaaaaaaahhhh aaaahhh)
I'm turnin' turnin' turnin' turnin' turnin' around (aaaaaahhh aaaaahhhh)
And all that I can see is just another lemon tree
And I wonder, wonder
I wonder how (aaaahhh aaaahh)
I wonder why (aaaahhh aaaahh)

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
Just A Little Lovin'

Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Blind meon doesn't even sing this... it's a fool's garden song...not blind melon deffinately!
i know rite but they sound like BLindlemonn thouhg!
It doesn't sound like them at all. Great song, but just not Blind Melon.
anyone who thinks this band sounds like blind melon clearly can't tell the difference between american and british accents. i find that odd, anybody else?
i didnt think this was blind melon! downloaded it on limewire with it saying so but i didnt think it sounded like shannon... still a good song though
There are some verbs which are repeated more than twice in Lemon Tree. How does it influence the tone of the song?
