"Conversation Via Radio (Do You Ever Wonder)" as written by and Justin Furstenfeld....
You must be broken
By a thousand ways of wasting time
Get to the point
And off a hundred lines a week
No need to change my mind
A cleaner shade of thinking time
But I seem to think more than I act upon most things.

Do you ever wonder
How hard you hit?
You broke my thunder
Do you ever wonder
How hard you hit?
You broke my thunder

God made this night for me, a silly devil in me talking
Romantic company for walking, Over and outâ?¦Over and outâ?¦
This year is the year I want to be, that silly devil in me talking
Romantic company for walking, Over and outâ?¦Over and outâ?¦

I'm cramped and crawling from under the dead
I'm sick of living without you in bed
I've made mistakes that I wroteâ?¦That I readâ?¦
But now I just can't seem to be preoccupied
The heart was tossed with a black lace chain
With these hands that I write with
And the ode that I live byâ?¦
I will never be with you.

A scar was sewn
A drop of blood was saved for making wine
Still no repent
On how you crumble when I shake
A mental jaw was used
To pry me from this wrecking bond
The sad detail is all the promises I make.

General CommentOnly four comments? Whats wrong with you people! I ADORE this song so much infact it just might be my favorite. I think this song can be related to several things. The first one would be the obvious about a guy in a relationship. That they want to make it work but so much shit has happend between them they can never be with one another, cause its neither a healthy or happy relationship. From "you broke my thunder" it sounds like it was kinda an abusive relationship not physicly but verbily, also it could be that they broken up. Though my other interpetation is its about drugs and he is kinda talking to his other self when he abused drugs saying to himself pretty much does he know how much he hurt himself? ill write more once I figure everything out.

Song Meaning*DISCLAIMER* I have just obtained a copy of Justin Furstenfeld's book Crazy Making. It's not very detailed, but it contains all the lyrics to all current (The Answers - Approaching Normal) Blue October songs, and his inspiration behind them. As I said, it's not very detailed, but it's his words on every Blue October song that is in the book. I know everyone interprets a song differently from everyone else, but having the original intent behind the song will be helpful to people who don't fully understand a song. Also, any grammatical errors are not made by me, I'm putting down Justin's words exactly how he writes them. So yea... enjoy :)

General Commentthis song is great one of blue octobers best. the great thing about this song is in the bridge the lead singer goes from sounding like ed rowland of collective soul to dave matthews yet pulls it off, tremendous

General CommentIts the question everyone asks after they've been hurt: do you have any idea how badly you've hurt me? This song is basically saying that you've hurt me more than i've ever been before. you took away everything i had going in my life, took away all meaning and now im a piece of empty nothingness, completely crushed beyond all hope.

General CommentI really have no idea what this song is about, and was kinda disappointed to see that nobody left any comments about the meaning.

This is one of my favourite Blue October songs, though.

My OpinionI think its saying like maybe "we were about to start a relationship and I wanted it with all my being, but,you broke me inside and no matter how bad I want you, and I do, because of how I am, we will never be together, now.

and on the flipside, another interpretation could be

You changed me forever, by showing me how to love. I won't settle with you, and I have my reasons. But know that the changes you made me in me will always be.
