Did you see your people?
They all turned out for you
We were all together not so long ago
When the light reclaimed you
We were left clawing at the sky

In the oceans we can find you
For the sun we praise your name
In the dirt we pray for god to bring you back again
I can see you, I can see you
In the void the stones are turning and turning and turning

I can see you, I can see you

General CommentIt's not too difficult here. A release for Scott Kelly, whose wife committed suicide just before the recording of Through Silver in Blood, and which inspired that same song.

    "Did you see your people?
They all turned out for you
We were all together not so long ago
    When the light reclaimed you
We were left clawing at the sky"

At her funeral, Scott remembers how quickly she was taken and how painful it was to lose her in such a manner.

"In the oceans we can find you
For the sun we praise your name
In the dirt we pray for god to bring you back again
I can see you, I can see you
In the void the stones are turning and turning and turning"

The grief. Where is she now? Why did God take her from me?

The whole of The Eye of Every Storm seems as if it deals with this event in some way or another, but this is the most obvious. The other songs are struggles related to the happening.
