"Wishful Thinking" as written by Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon....
It's time we should talk about is
There's no secret kept in here
Forgive me for asking
Now wipe away your tears

And if I wish to stop it all
And if I wish to comfort the fall
It's just wishful thinking

I sat on the roof
And watched the day go by
I see the likeness in his smile and the way he stands
Makes it all worthwhile

And if I wish to stop it all
And if I wish to comfort the fall
It's just wishful thinking

It's time we should talk about is
There's no secret kept in here
I see the likeness in his smile and the way he stands
Makes it all worthwhile

And if I wish to stop it all
And if I wish to comfort the fall
And if I wish to stop it all
And if I wish to comfort the fall
It's just wishful thinking

General Commenta beautiful song like many of their others.

I assume it is a man being told the young child is his and he accepting he wants to play a role/part in its upbringing.. after he recognises himself in him. beautiful tune.

My InterpretationAn old relationship resulted in a child that the man was unaware of. As the child grows up, the father begins to realise that the child is his, and wants to take responsibility..."it's time we should talk about it..."
