I'm sober like a Sunday morning mass
Liars are lying to themselves
I'm lost or I'm losing everything
I'm wasted, I can't keep the night from falling down

Don't recreate this scene
Or reinvent the meanings

All that shit, it means nothing
You just take it as it comes
And let it all fade away
And all those times you felt something
But your heart was on the run
So it goes, so it goes

I'm lonely like a lazy weekend
My feet never touch the ground
I'm drunk or I'm drinking everything
My face has blossomed like a flower now

To recreate the scene or reinvent the meanings

All that shit, it means nothing
You just take it as it comes
And let it all fade away
And all those times you felt something
But your heart was on the run
So it goes, so it goes

Somewhere along the way I lost my destination
And then I ended up in a thousand different places
The road is long tonight
Maybe we'll be somewhere by morning
We're never anywhere, never either coming or going

Yesterday means nothing to me
We gotta move on
There is no other way
Yesterday is nothing but a dream to me

Song MeaningThis song is about looking to the future. You may have been a drunken, emotionally oblivious loser in the past, but the past is the past. It doesn't help to dwell on it, and your past doesn't foretell your future.

General CommentI love the Vonnegut reference "so it goes, so it goes". Pretty much syaing how he doesn't care about her anymore and life will go on.

General CommentDeadAsRhodes, Chris also sings most of the vocals on Beyond the Embarassing Style and Old Dogs never Die. One of the things I love so much about this album is that both Brendan and Chris sing on every single song. Sometimes it's a call and response type thing like on "Are you there Margaret it's me God?", but most of the time they are singing in unison which is new for the Larry Arms. It's amazing. It's like these two voices join to form one incredible super voice that will never be equaled. This album rocks.

General CommentIt's about that feeling over being lost with a girl and how you're "never anywhere, never coming or going" just lost.
