(C.W.B. always with me)

i walked into the room
i saw things i'd never seen
the world was so different then
we were so young
but oh, how we change
our lives
then can sometimes seem so strange
how could you do this, we were so young

hold on
i wish that you had held on
i wish that i had been the one
to help you hold on

asleep in the bath
you watchd the new year passing by
the fireworks in your hands
you never questioned why
but oh, tired, weary
this life can sometimes seem
how could you do this
you were so young

hold on
i wish that you had held on
i wish that i had been the one
to help you hold on

General CommentThis song always reminds me of my ex best friend who died 2 years ago. The first time i heard it, just listening to the lyrics made me cry. Truly a touching song with good lyrics.

General CommentA song reflecting on a friend who committed suicide. Or an anthem for anyone who has lost a friend for whatever reason. Also for me this song always reminds me of everyone I couldn't help. I shouldn't blame myself but not helping feels just as bad as hurting. I wish that you had held on. I wish that I had been the one to help you hold on.
