Well I know I shouldn't care
but I do & I don't
and I always crack a smile when I see your punk rock clothes
and you try try but you never fit in and you're never going to
so pack it up pack it in, so there
Steve took three or four
Heather took more.
She lit a cigarrette and they're walkin out the door
with a semi automatic and a ski mask on
they look to one another and they say to themselves "what fun".
Well I never want to bother and I never want to hover over his or her affairs
because that's not fair
and it seems to me that you're running out of time
and it seems to me like you're never going to do what's right
Jack dropped 21, Jill 22.
The look in his eye said "Brother what are you going to do with a 9mm and a three piece suit?"
they look to one another and say "hey motherfucker, who's the fool?"

General CommentI always thought it was a cop and a robber. The cop with the 9 mm and the three piece suit, and the robber with punk clothes, a ski mask, and semi automatic. "They look to one another and say 'hey motherfucker, who's the fool'" Neither of them approve of the other's way of life , and i think the message is mainly that it doesn't matter. Might be way off though.

General CommentI can't believe im the first to comment on this song. It's a really catchy song (no pun intended), It's not my fav by streetlight but its really good.

It has the same story as "everything went numb"

General CommentThat's *Isn't* buddy. And yeah, it was from Tomas' old band, but Keasbey Nights got redone as Keasbey Nights, Vol 2 by Streetlight Manifesto..I actually like the way Catch recorded some of the songs a lot more, but I'll support Streetlight more.

General CommentWell, it's not the same story, but I guess it's telling another side of the storyline. "Everything Went Numb" is the man's concious getting the best of him, while this song is just the man not fitting in with the rest of the robbers. He's wearing a 3 piece suit and only carrying a 9mm, while the rest have on punky clothes and semi automatic.

Good Song. SM does it best.

General CommentTomas Kalnoky wrote Keasbey Nights himself, so he's allowed to do whatever he likes with it. He can record it with anyone he wants.

General Commentkalnoky uses a lot of heist and gangster themes in his songs (everything went numb, keasbey nights, point/counterpoint etc), does anyone know if there is any particular significance in it? or does he just like that kind of scene?

General Commentthe line "i always crack a smile when i see your punk rock clothes" is stupid. streetlight is my favorite band, and kalnoky is soo the shiz, but people actually dress punk for reasons besides fitting in, and a lot of people even dont dress punk to fit in(with either anti-fashion punks, or are even to scared to dress punk even though they like the style/music and dont wanna be seen as a loser to "cool" people).

sooooo as ive always said, dress punk, dnt dress punk w/e it doesnt matter, but wtf, y bash someone for either one. i guess if kalnoky is referring to a specific punk rock clothing poser person it makes sense, idk i guess thats what hes doing. im just bitching at this point lololol.

    perfect song.

General CommentI get the same feel in this song when I listen to Everything Went Numb.

The Gangsta feel, and shady plans
    Robberies and what not..
