so simple, the shortest, the smallest...often the hardest. buried deep, tuck me in and sleep tonight. your words, my words...voices echoing, uttered quickly bellow it out, whisper it only for one to hear. tender sounds set off smoke signals circle around that which mean the most embrace and smother that first snowfall, covering head to toe. that first cold breath making a voice hard to find. ones that color me red, stir this stomach, like a sleeping volcano a town fleeing whether or not it erupts from those hills, whether or not it erupts from these lips.

General CommentThis song is about how people generally don't let those who are important know exactly how much they mean to each other, and how our society doesn't really cultivate that kind of expression.

He is saying that whether or not he says the words himself there are indeed people that are important to him. The imagery of the volcano at the end is passionate, and invokes the intensity of those feelings. The looming threat of the volcano is palpable for the people that live around it regardless of whether or not it erupts. He is expressing how he tries to make the people around him feel as though they are important to him even though he rarely tells them.
