"Never Never Love" as written by and Michael James Hucknall....
So now we've got our independence
What are we gonna do with it?
Learning to play different games
Already using different names
Cause now our love bears no resemblance
To what we had before
When our love was good it was all that we saw
When out love was good it blinded us before
This real revolution baby
Where you're not below me anymore

Never never love can never be enough
Never be enough, just ain't good enough
Never never love can never be enough
Never be enough, oh no

So now we've got our independence
What are we gonna do with it?
Building the houses, claiming back the land
Burning the bridges, cleaning up your hands
Cause now our love bears no resemblance
To what we had before

Now our love has something for the future
Now our love will grow the seeds to sow this real revolution
This good revolution baby
Where you've not below me anymore

General CommentThis song reflects the present situation of romantic relationships between two people, which is far from being the same than before since it seems more and more evident that 'love' isn't anymore the target for being reached by them. I mean many (urban) people just want to have fun without having a serious commitment nowadays and all this independence has made those people ask themselves about the real relevance of that 'romantic love' that our parents used to live on their own lives.

My InterpretationThey were in a love affair, both had their own relationship. It was good when it was in secret, without freedom to assume each other publically, using different names, playing games. In the moment they finally had their independence, they needed to reinvent their love, because now it tastes really different.
