It’s not what you want but it’s what you need
I guess I’m blessed with curiosity and charm
You know I meant you no harm
Another false alarm

(CHORUS)
You can tell everyone about summer
You can scatter my ashes over the sea
But you just can’t miss what didn’t exist
Oh you can never get yourself over me
Oh you can never get yourself over me

How grateful, and faithful, are you to me?
(I thought you’d miss what you couldn’t kiss)

(Chorus)

(Chorus)

I need you, I miss you, end of story
I need you, I miss you, end of story
I need you, I miss you, end of story
I need you more than anything right now

General CommentI don't really understand this song.
At the beginning it's talking about how maybe they hooked up, but it meant nothing to the speaker "You can tell everyone about summer...but you just can't miss what didn't exisit you can never get yourself over me"
But then at the end it's saying how the speaker misses this same person.
