Why can’t I believe what I want to believe?
Let go of instinct's subtle hand
Why can’t I pretend nothing's happening?
Like so many others have

Well I want you to say that things will get better
'Cause I know myself and I can do better
Well I want to say that things will get better
But I, I can't

And it feels like it’s a movie about losing
Only this time it's us
And we're counting on a surprise ending
That never does come
That never does come

Well I’m gonna to stay wandering
You can tear the house down around me
Like a ghost that won’t admit that he’s dead
I’m stuck here in the middle of it

Well I want you to say that things will get better
'Cause I know myself and I can do better
Well I want to say that things will get better

But I, I can't
And it feels like it’s a movie about losing
Only this time it's us
And we're counting on a surprise ending
That never does come
That never does come

And it feels like it’s a movie about losing
Only this time it's us
And we're counting on a surprise ending
That never does come
That never does come

General Commenti think its talking about a kid , and he's in a relationship with a woman , and he thinks that everything will get better between him and her , but things are alittle shaking in there relationship , also i think that he wants it to be like a movie and he counting on her to make this like a surprise ending in a movie. a twist.

General CommentI love this version of the song. I'm a little confused, though - I went on AC's myspace today because I wanted to put this song on my page, but I found this song, with different lyrics. I personally love this version way more.
