"Multiply" as written by Dominic Salole and Jamie Lidell....
Well showing as it used to be
So hard
This hard
I used to get those kicks for free
But now I'm towing the line
Oooo

This ain't no way to be
Stuck between my shadow and me
Could it been the sun don't shine
But I'll tell you that I'm doing fine

[Chorus]
I sometimes I don't go beating myself
Beating myself up
Gonna take a trip and multiply
Please go under with a smile

Showin' how it used to be
Real trouble
So much trouble
But love is just a shackle I see
Coming out of my mind ooh

This ain't no way to be
Just stuck between my shadow and me
The sun's going down
It's getting dark in here
Still folks see:
I got nothing to fear

[Chorus]

People on the street
There are many many
People on the moon they're ain't any any
Shame, yeah, ooh
Running down the same old cold
Taking it down 'cause I no con gone

I'm so tired [Repeat x13]
Soooooo

I'm so tired over beating myself
Beating myself up
Wanna take a trip and multiply
Please go under with a smile

This is such a great song, he was so great on Jools Holland.

General CommentWhat a great song. It's as if the ghost of Wilson Pickett channeled itself through the soul of some British white boy

    General CommentI'm pretty sure it's -

    I'm tired of repeating myself,
    Beating myself up,
Gonna take a trip and multiply

and Taking it down, 'cause I got no control

General CommentThis album in general has a darker tone than its sound would belie. It takes a page from 70s Marvin Gaye, but is grimmer. This song, for instance, is about committing suicide over a broken heart.
Seems to me to 'multiply' part has to do with anti-depressants, and prob. overdosing.
    Fantastic song, though.

General CommentI heard about an interpretation of this being about multiple personalities; under that interpretation, I think "stuck between my shadow and me" makes more sense, and going under is not dying, but going crazy, which he references.

General CommentI think it's just about a frustrating boy who is tired of "beating himself up" and wants to go make babies, babies and more babies!
