"Louie Louie" as written by and Richard Berry....
Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go

Fine little girl waits for me
Catch a ship across the sea
Sail that ship about, all alone
Never know if I make it home

Louie Louie, oh oh no
Me gotta go, oh no
Louie Louie, oh baby
I said we gotta go

Three nights and days I sail the sea
Think of girl, constantly
On that ship, I dream she's there
I smell the rose in her hair.

Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go
Okay, let's give it to 'em, right now!

See Jamaica, the moon above
It won't be long, me see me love
Take her in my arms again
I tell her I'll never leave again

Louie Louie, oh no
Me gotta go
Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
Louie Louie, oh baby
Me gotta go

I said we gotta go now
Let's take it on outta here now
Let's go!!

General CommentThe FBI called for an investigation concerning this song because they thought the lyrics were really dirty. Haha. How reassuring to know what the government spends our money on.

General CommentHe comes in early after the solo. You hear "Me see" and then he stops as the band plays on and he comes in next time round.

General CommentMost of the lyrics are right, its just sang as though the singer is drunk or stoned. Except "away we go". That should be "yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah baby" or something like that. A song about a sailer who misses his love at home. Simple stuff, at least on the surface...

General CommentAway we go? Where did that come from? It's "we gotta go."

Other than that, it looks alright.

Good tune, and pretty straightforward lyrics once you figure out what they are.
