"Choke on a Cock" as written by and Adam M Green....
I did not ask for a lot this year
Every single day
Looking for an answer to the words you say
Never got to meet the President

Never got to shake his squirly hand
Oh, don't you know the President
Is out for tea with Tony Blair
He won't be back for hours maybe, homeboy

I'd be so happy if I got to meet George Bush
He's like an angel when Rebecca hears me calling
I would dance on NBC and say
'George Bush shook hands with me'
Then I'd go and choke on a cock

And Guinevere would find me leaving home
And Johnny Depp would call me on the phone
And Johnny Depp would call me on the phone, I know
I'd be the greatest singer on the radio

Leaning on the raging river flats
Sliding off a single blade of grass
Oh, don't you know the A.D.A.
Is brushing teeth with Johnny J
They won't be smashing flowers, meet me no more

I'd be so happy if I bid it all on you
And never answer when Rebecca asks me questions
I'd lay down to some degree
And say John Stern locked lips with me

And then I'd go and choke
For then I'd go and choke
For then I'd go and choke on a cock

General Commentyou can never be sure what adam green wants to say (with a song), but I'm pretty sure that he's making fun of rednecks in this one, like in the south of the u.s.a. who'd love to have the "honor" of shaking hands with the president and being called by johnny depp, just because they're so famous and they don't give a damn about their ideals. I might be wrong anyway

General CommentI am not sure exactly what he is mocking in this songs. He's definitely going at people who admire the president. But he is also making fun of Johnny Depp who is a big liberal. He might be trying to say that people shouldn't let idiots decide what they should think. He might just think they are both douches.

General CommentI think the Johnny Depp thing is just making fun of politics in general, and how if you're represented in the right way or in with the "in crowd," it doesn't really matter what you stand for. Let's face it, Adam Green's stuff could only be appreciated by an esoteric bunch. To say that he'd be the greatest singer on the radio if Johnny Depp called him is self-effacing societal commentary.

General CommentI think this song is about prostituting yourself (both literaly and figuratively) in order to achieve fame. Adam Green doesn't do that, which is why he's so very spectacular, and also why he's not big on the radio. And I agree with the last comment...dude's got balls.

General Commenti agree with everyone here. i think he's talking about how the public look up to celebrities and presidents and idolise them even though they're no better than anyone else, but instead people treat them like they're gods. i love how honest Adam Green's songs are and how he doesnt care what anyone thinks. his lyrics are very clever.
