[Verse - Violent J]
2:45 and the bell went off
Thank God, many people think I'm odd
But I talk with no one and I walk alone
And I avoid sunlight with a chalky tone
I get home and don't say hi, it ain't no one there
I don't care I walk in and go right up the stairs
To my room, get in bed and just wait for dark
Because that's when the real show start (tap tap)
"Tap tap" on the glass go the piece of ass
So young and pretty it's too bad she past
But she comes to my room and we talk at night
She's demonic and bloody, but she holds me tight
In my bedroom, with her I'm never alone
And I kiss her cold lips until the morning come
Then she gone, I can still hear her voice loom
But she only exist in the dark of my room

[Hook - (Violent J) & {Shaggy 2 Dope}]
Love..(I can't ignore you)
In my room..(do anything for you baby) {tap tap}
Love..(I do adore you)
In my room..you and I...{Tap tap go the piece of ass}

Love..(I can't ignore you)
In my room..(do anything for you baby) {tap tap}
Love..(I do adore you)
In my room..you and I...{Tap tap go the piece of ass}

[Verse - Violent J]
I try to smile a lot, but I'm always frontin'
But I do love a ghost and at least that's somethin'
She don't talk much, when she do it gets cold
Usually we just lay there and we hold each other
We're lovers, we don't need others
One of my mother's cats jumped up on the covers
And it scared my baby, guess she don't like pets
So I twisted it's fuckin' head off at the neck
Look baby, it's bloody, it's gone, it's doomed
Please...come back to the room
I'll do anything for thy, don't ignore me
This is more than a sick love story
Without you I'd bring a shotgun to school
And I will if you want me to for any reason
I hate that you leave when the lights come on
And if I had it my way the fuckin' sun would be gone

[Hook - (Violent J) & {Shaggy 2 Dope}]
Love..(I can't ignore you)
In my room..(do anything for you baby) {tap tap}
Love..(I do adore you)
In my room..you and I...{Tap tap go the piece of ass}

Love..(I can't ignore you)
In my room..(do anything for you baby) {tap tap}
Love..(I do adore you)
In my room..you and I...{Tap tap go the piece of ass}

[Verse - Violent J]
Sometimes I kiss her, I start shakin'
She slips me the tongue and it tastes like bacon
Uh oh, something's wrong baby's upset
She told me she was spotted by the neighbor's kid
She can't come back now 'cause they know our secret
Unless I can make them keep it
If I do she may come to life
Now I'm in their yard with a shotgun and knife
Cut the screen, went in and found the kid
Blew a bowl of spaghetti in the side of his head
And the daddy was next runnin' down the hall
I shredded his throat and he was quick to fall
Tossed the Mossberg and gripped the knife
Started stabbin' the shit outta his wife
Went home a bloody mess with a job well done (tap tap)
Wash up and wait for my baby to come (tap tap)

[Hook - (Violent J) & {Shaggy 2 Dope}]
Love..(I can't ignore you)
In my room..(do anything for you baby) {tap tap}
Love..(I do adore you)
In my room..you and I...{Tap tap go the piece of ass}

Love..(I can't ignore you)
In my room..(do anything for you baby) {tap tap}
Love..(I do adore you)
In my room..you and I...{Tap tap go the piece of ass}

[Bridge - Violent J & (Shaggy 2 Dope)] - x3
I waited 2 or 3 days, 4 days
Waitin' for the "tap tap" like always
I waited and hated this (tap tap)
I created a bloody mess (tap tap)

I waited 2 or 3 months, 4 months
Waitin' for the "tap tap" just for once
I waited and hated this (tap tap)
I created a bloody mess (tap tap)

[Hook laps over 3rd time bridge starts]

    Song Meaning

    I think the ghost is the wife who has out of body experiences. Thus the reason why she always leaves at sun up, since most people wake up early in the morning. While she's out of body she visits him as a plan to get rid of her family, which is why she tells him about the lil boy seen them together. However, instead of just killin the lil boy he kills the entire family and therefore she's unable to come back over to his room.

    It's a song in which peope can take many meanings from it. The main meaning is to not kill people for any chick, dead or alive. They're not worth it...reminds me of the song "Under The Moon".

    the song has a little more meaning than hes in love with a ghost. i think the underlying meaning is something along the lines of: if ur girl leaves u, dont freak out or do anything drastic becuz most likely she wont come back...esp if u do something effed up. he killed that family to get her to come back...but she never did. and at the end of the song hes screaming "where is she? why isnt she coming back? i effing killed all these people (or something like that)! where the eff is she? why isnt she coming back? i cant believe i did it! i killed them! where is she?" soooo...yah...i think thats the meaning of the song

    this could be taken two way one really nice and romanic and one pretty twisid... the nice one is well this is showing that forbidden love does happen and can happen and as long as your happy good for you :) but also when you become so wraped up in it you can do some pretty stupid shit... the twistid version is that tha ghost is using the man and tells him that she cant some back unless the boy is rid of.. really the boy and dad could be her family and she wants them with her in the other world so she uses the man to kill them

    I always thought the ghost was the ghost of the girl next door whom the singer loved, and dies. Now she's back, haunting J, but the motivation is clear- he must kill the family next foor for her so she can be reunited with her family. She doesn't come back because now her parents and brother are ghosts with her.

    Regardless, there is at least a double meaning here about hopeless love and being used by your lover.

    A good song and an archetypical horror story. The ghost girl disappears at the end which seems very logical, but what is the reason? It might be the girl was an evil entity, like a succubus, seducing the protagonist to commit a murder to then leave him with the horror of what he has done. Also it might mean she is protagonist's hallucination (after all he is a loner), but why does this delusion disappears after he commits a murder? Maybe the murder causes a psychological transformation in him, this intense experience makes his hallucinations disappear. Anyway this ambiguous Shining-esque horror tale in a form of a song is one of the best ICP creations in my opinion.

    My Interpretation

    All these interpretations have some sorta deep meaning about not doing something effed up for a girl or about the family he killed being hers meanwhile I just kinda always assumed it\'s about a guy with schizophrenia ????

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
