"After It All" as written by and Marshall....
After it all
When it's said and done
Will you come back to me
And tell me that
It never was up to you or up to me

When you stand up so tall
With your back to me against the wall
And make demands with your angry hands
You say you're sorry that you
Didn't mean to scream you say
You're back again that you still love me
And that ya never meant what you said to me
Should I believe what you're telling me

To wait for you
Was all I could do
To have you back with me so peacefully
You broke your back
You left your scratch
Then you came back to me
Just to get some sleep

After it all
When it's said and done
Will you come back to me
And tell me that
It was never up to you or me

General Commentsounds like a bad relationship and she knows it. he needs her in a way. and she feels good w/ him and lets him back when it gets kinda shakey.

General CommentI think it is a bad relationship as well. Sort of verbally abusive too. But he keeps coming back and she keeps excepting him hoping things will change, but they never do.

General CommentDude, what a beautiful song. It's almost light jazz, very soulful yet simultaneously calm.

I don't even care what it's about, just based on how awesome the music itself is.

I am pretty positive it's about being a relationship where you feel hopeless and powerless, and she's just, indifferent towards patching it up, but still very passionately in love with that person.
