"She Thinks I Still Care" as written by Dickey Lee Lipscomb and Steve Duffy....
She thinks I still care

Just because I asked a friend about her
Just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I rang her number by mistake today
She thinks I still care

Just because I haunt the same old places
Where the memory of her lingers everywhere
Just because I'm not the happy guy I used to be
She thinks I still care

But if she's happy thinking I still need her
Then let that silly notion bring her cheer
But how could she ever be so foolish
Oh were would she get such an idea

Just because I asked a friend about her
Just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I saw her then went all to pieces

She thinks I still care
She thinks I still care

General CommentA song that deals with irony. Obviously on the surface the person is trying to say taht they do not care about the other person, but infact, due to the amount of times he 'accidently' keeps bumping into her or her memories shows that he is infact still in love with her, and does care about her. The person is trying to self-delude themselves into believing that they are fine, where in actual fact they are being torn apart.

General CommentI was a kid back then when my late uncle played this song I was so confused with the lyric, I was too young to get the irony :))
