"Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd cover)" as written by and Roger/gilmour Waters....
So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail
A smile from a veil
Do you think you can tell

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts
Hot ashes for trees
Hot air for a cool breeze
Cold comfort for change
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year
Running over the same old ground
How we found the same old fears
Wish you were here

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year
Running over the same old ground
How we found the same old fears.
Wish you were here

General CommentAmazing cover, although the lyrics on this page are off... they do the "how I wish" segment twice. The electric cellos add a nice touch. Not the original, of course, but still very good.

General CommentI totally agree with you "Black", this is one of the best covers I've ever heard, and though I'm a little afraid to say it, I actually like this version better than the original. The cello's beautiful haunting quality puts a new spin on this song

General CommentI love this cover better than Pink Floyd's. It's sadder. More aching. Perfect for a long distance relationship.
