Headlights pass over dead end signs
White knuckles, screams, as the tires just slide
The salt placed here, it couldn't melt the ice
So tonight into death I dive [I dive]

Unconcious, am I breathing? [Am I breathing?]
I held my blood in my own hands
Don't let me die [Right here]
My youth it must survive
Don't let me die tonight

Headlights pass over dead end signs
White knuckles, screams, as the tires just slide
The salt placed here, it couldn't melt the ice
So tonight into death I dive [I dive]

Unconcious, am I breathing? [Am I breathing?]
I held my blood in my own hands
Don't let me die [Right here]
My youth it must survive
Don't let me die tonight

The truth in our lives
It lies in our hearts
It can't be placed in our minds
Like we always had thought
Blood pushes through veins
And feelings are bought
Time heals most wounds
But expect a scar
Expect a scar [Expect a scar]

I dive, I dive

Unconcious am I breathing? [Am I breathing?]
I held my blood in my own hands
Don't let me die
My youth it must survive
Don't let me die tonight

General CommentI don't know this for sure, but I think that this song is trying to tell a tragic story. It is describing in very vivid detail, a terrible car accident that happened. The person in the song has gotten into a fatal crash but feels too young to be dying so soon. He wants to preserve his youth and stay alive, but he can't. So into death he must dive. I absolutely love the lyrics and everytime I listen to this song, I can see the entire accident playing out in my head. It paints such a good picture and the songwriting is just incredible.
