I see her sitting at the side of the bar
Oh well, I think I've come this far
Let's go a little further
(and walk right by)

Oh God, he's looking at me again
Just keep my eyes down to pretend
Try not to even murmur
(he's walked right by)

My love knows neither reason nor restraint
Just how much longer do I have to fake
That I don't notice you?

Why does he think he even stands a chance
I feel him take from me with every glance
Why won't he notice somebody new?

Woah, Woah

This obsession's getting hard to explain
But when I make her immortal it'll all be ok
Getting wet, standing here in the rain

I see a shadow fall strangely outside
Move over and close the blinds
Feeling I can't explain

Woah, Woah

None of this means anything
Oh so none of this means anything
I know it used to mean something
But now we're left here with nothing

None of this means anything
Coz like you'd even mean anything
But in my dreams she'll say anthing
She'll say anything!

I wanna be your Doll
I wanna be your Doll
I wanna be your Doll
I wanna be your Doll

Want you to make me see that I've been so bad
Want you be the reason that I'm so sad
Want you to teach me to be true to you
Want you to neglect me, just like you know you want to

You know you want to

General CommentDon't get offended, andy, but the first thing I thought of when I read this is God, even though I really doubt that that's what you had in mind. It feels like that the song speaks of someone searching for salvation through faith yet who's unable to rid himself of the 'shadow'. He's looking for the courage to look at 'him'-- the evil straight in the eye and hence make himself true and pure to her--God.

General CommentI have no idea who silentdreamer is but (s)he totally lacks any grasp of reality. The song is about attraction and the associated emotion. I wont embarrass myself by elaborating futher.
