"Turn It Up" as written by and Timothy Z./milsap Mosley....
I woke up weak today and needing your voice
Crawled into the speakers and turned up the volume
Felt so sick today but cured by your noise
My head in the speakers is drowning out volumes

In ashes to ashes, I'm falling falling
In ashes to ashes, I'm losing losing
In curl and grazes, I'm feeling feeling
In curl and grazes, I'm losing losing

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

I dress up bright tonight and needing the beat
Dance into the speakers and max up the volume
Feel so high tonight and moved by my feet
My heart in the speakers is loving the volume

In pretty vacant, I'm jumping jumping
In pretty vacant, I'm moving moving
In teaches of Peaches, I'm speeding speeding
In teaches of Peaches, I'm moving moving

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

In Delia's gone I’ll keep it with mine
Birdland clouds sous le soleil
Sous le soleil exactement sunshine superman
I want you ghosts in some velvet morning
Paper wings Virginia Avenue Laura
In summer's almost over I walk the line a night
Like this strange fruit

In hat full of hollow, I'm diving diving
In hat full of hollow, I'm screaming screaming
In poison voodoo, I'm living living
In poison voodoo, I'm screaming screaming

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn it up turn it up turn it up turn it up
Turn me on

General CommentThe song is about escaping the world through music, that is why there are refferences to plenty of older songs in here. As listed by other people. In the beginning line 'I woke up weak today, and needing your voice' the 'your' is reffering to music. The song is simply about escaping life with an obsession, if not addiction to music.

General Commentsome wonderful person worked this out and put it on sue and the unicorns myspace:

"In Fuck The Pain Away, Penetration, Get Into The Groove, Boys
In Give Me Shelter, Kung Fu Fighting, Automatic, White Lines,
In I'm a Poser, Smells Like Teen Spirit, the Robots submerge.."

that's all she got to though. pretty spot on.

General Commentit doesn't really matter which songs it is, if one doesn't understand clearly, does it...
it is just, it's, it's every song you love; it makes you feel different, makes you feel something, gets you up, gets you somewhere
it's all emotions, it is moving into the songs

it's music as soundtrack of one's life

it's so beautiful i can't believe it! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

General Commentok guyyssss, after lots of reading around and lots of careful listening, my two cents...

during 'in ashes to ashes', dee sings the following:

in delia's gone, i'll keep it with mine, birdland, clouds
in sous le soleil exactement, sunshine superman, i want you, ghosts
in some velvet morning, paperwings, virginia avenue, laura
    if the kids are united

during 'in pretty vacant', she sings:

in fuck the pain away, get into the groove, penetration, boys
in give me shelter, kung fu fighting, automatic, white lines
in i'm a poser, smells like teen spirit, the robots submerge (? i'm unaware of this last one being a song)
    if the kids are united

General CommentI think that they don't sing 'in poison voodoo' but 'in boys and voodoo', as they're singing song titles and are big on self-promotion in songs..

this song is amazing, the robots are excellent!
