With balled up fists, take steady aim
I’ll make a go of this and wish for better things than what I’ve seen
“I’ll look forward, straight, and ahead” – easier said than done
I know, for this time, I’m gonna try

Turn around and close your eyes – wasted days and smiles

Talk is cheap, and mine’s the worst
I’ve realized my actions are worth so much more than they were before
It’s time for me to gather all my thoughts,
turn them all inside out and see what it’s all about

Turn around, and close your eyes – wasted days and smiles
I need to find what might be mine, just let me go this time.

Don’t say, “I quit”

I’ll be back
I need to find what might be mine, just let me go this time

Your face never looked so sad, no need to worry, cause I’ll be back
I’m just tired of the same routine; I need to find what it is waiting out there for me

General CommentPretty sure it's another cliched teenage anthem of growing up and its trials and tribulations.

And it's fucking awesome. I saw these guys live. It was amazing.

General Commentjudging by the name of the song and their love for the classic movie, i'd say its probably just about mikey and brand moving away and the goonies splitting up.

just my guess, but it makes sense.

General Commentno, the song is actually about SYG going on tour and going away from home, and they're saying bye to their friends and "don't worry, we'll be back"

if you read the lyrics It makes sense.

they're saying they need to get out there and do something, because their words can only do so much compared to them going out to the world and playing on stage.

General Comment^ pretty much on the spot. except i don't really think its so much about being away from friends/family while on tour, but yeah, i agree that its about getting out there and doing something with their lives. "i need to find what might be mine, just let me go this time."

General CommentIt's about growing up and realizing that the place you were raised in has nothing left to give you.

Talk is cheap, and mines the worst
Ive realized my actions are worth so much more than they were before
Its time for me to gather all my thoughts,
turn them all inside out and see what its all about

Obviously they've been thinking of leaving for a long time and they've finally decided that it's time to put their thoughts and words together and turn them into an action.
