The Building 6 floors above the street the sidewalk cracks down the lower deep. A vally of stone, bask in the artifical sunlight reflecting off of the above building windows.

She moved from the west coast. Brookland with no bed post. Mattress on the floor, living off of chesse and french toast. My best freind just bought a place at 78 at first. Meet me up here on 2nd avenue.

High above the things that get you down
Far beyond the worst that's come and gone
So say so-long, we're moving uptown, uptown New York

New Year's two, zero, zero, five.
The last year lasted way to long. Red champagne got from the island, make a toast, drink it down for a month of better milage.

Me and [Ban?] have been all around this world but still there's nothing like walking in the park with my girl freind. This city's alive, I've got the edge down on Brookland. Strawberry feilds imagine with chinaabove, you know he is looking down with peace and love across this human town. So sing along, all you need is love, well our love.

New York catching sun rays between stone and sky, there's no place I'd rather fly, stuck here just you and I. New York were I can be myself and on my own. living in an old brown stone, these subway cars will get me home

They'll get me home.

Dance all the bands serinading all bee girl you look so damn cute in your N.Y.C t-shirt. All the pretty girls down by N.Y.U. they flirt but this time.

New York midwinters crasp the midnight air, I took a ride down to union square, do you want to meet me there. New York, in a full moon, streets covered with snow. Theres no place I'd rather go when my days past forever sure New York, New York.

Lallalala, lalalalalala, haaaihawooohhh, whooouo.

General CommentI typed this up on my own so there are alot of error. Took a long time too so don't bash me too hard.

I really like this song. I see it as getting away from your past and going to better places, together.

Naturally, he is from New York so he is also going to write about that but I think it is also deeper then that. Even the lyrics that don't make sense are put together so nicely. It is just such a nice song, has to be one of my fav's.

If you have any corrections post um here.
