"How Can I Go On" as written by and Freddie/moran Mercury....
When all the salt is taken from the sea
I stand dethroned, I'm naked and I bleed
But when your finger points so savagely
Is anybody there to believe in me
To hear my plea and take care of me?

How can I go on, from day to day
Who can make me strong in every way
Where can I be safe, where can I belong
In this great big world of sadness
How can I forget those beautiful dreams that we shared
They're lost and they're nowhere to be found
How can I go on?

Sometimes I seem to tremble in the dark, I cannot see
When people frighten me
I try to hide myself so far from the crowd
Is anybody there to comfort me
Lord, take care of me

How can I go on (how can I go on)
From day to day (from day to day)
Who can make me strong (who can make me strong)
In every way (in every way)
Where can f be safe (where can I be safe)
Where can I belong (where can I belong)
In this great big world of sadness
(In this great big world of sadness)
How can I forget (how can I forget)
Those beautiful dreams that we shared
(Those beautiful dreams that we shared)
They're lost and they're nowhere to be found
How can I go on?

How can I go on? How can I go on? Go on, go on, go on

General CommentThis song is heartbreaking, so deeply sad and so beautiful. I have never heard anything like it. So pretty. So much sadness and hope at the some time. About looking for somewhere to turn, and he seems to conclude the only to place to turn to is to God, for strength, for somewhere to be safe and belong. This song has been a strength to me in hard times. I have thought of these lines and I remember it is true for me, it reminds me that God is all these things to me and has given me all these things so many times. It is a pretty duet sang with Monserrrat Cabelle. The only thing that spoils it for me is when Montserrat sings you can't hear the words very clearly.

General CommentYeah, it's very sad. I get depressed when I listen to it because it's so easy to understand. Despite getting depressed, it's like my favorite Freddie solo song. I wish it was just him on vocals, but luckily I have the demo to listen to which just features him!!!

General CommentNo body but no body has ever nor will ever write as Eloquent as our Divine Freddie Mercury. Daily I mentally recite the words in this melody for strength to get me through what ever. I also have the jam session for this album. Barcelona is played almost daily, mostly the rehearsal just to hear Freddie speak. Hope he's listening, watching us and keeping his door unlocked for us when we move to his neighborhood.
