"Going through Changes" as written by and Vincent Paul Scheuerman....
It's hard to have strength when there's nothing to eat
And it's hard to eat when you don't have the teeth
And how, when you lose the one thing you love
There's nothing below and there's nothing above.

I've been going through changes
I've been going through changes
I've been going through changes
With nothing at all.

It's hard to accept what you don't understand
And it's hard to launch without knowing how to land
And how, when it burns, you can't change a thing
You can soften the blow, but you can't stop the sting

I've been going through changes?.

I am still yours even if you're not mine
I stare at the floor and I study the lines
Oh I took my place at the back of the crowd
Baby I couldn't see, but at least it was loud.
At least it was loud.

And I've been going through changes?.

And I know that I needed changes
But not this, this is not painless
Oh no, this is not painless

General CommentThis song is about the struggle of someone who changes for someone he loves, in spite of the fact that they can't be together since he always finds himself at the bottom of her list of priorities. So in essence, he has nothing at all... since he's had to lose everything in the past to change for this girl, but at the same time, he doesn't have the girl. And its hard to change; to let go of everything that makes you who you are just to bring joy to the one you love, only to see that she can't be yours.

That's what i think this song is about...

General CommentI think the song is pretty self explanatory. It can be perceived in many different ways, but it's probably a song dedicated to a girl that rejected him once.. and he is now trying to show her the improvements he has made in himself.. a la 'going through changes'

Baby I couldn’t see, but at least it was loud, but
    At least it was loud.

Now those are some memorable lyrics. I love that quote, I have no idea why- I just love it.

General Commentyeah but i think he is saying that he didnt change anything

    "I’ve been going through changes

    With nothing at all."

and that hes still something that he believes is good for her

General Comment"You can soften the blow, but you can't stop the sting" That's my absolute favorite part of this song because I can really relate to it. He knows it's going to hurt him whatever he's going through but he can stop it from happening.

General CommentI think its actually about a girl breaking up with him.. "its hard to have strength when theres nothing to eat and its hard to eat when you dont have the teeth".. its hard to have strength when they break up with out... and its hard to get them back if you dont have what they want.... "And how, when you lose the one thing you love

There’s nothing below and there’s nothing above." ever had that feeling when a b/f or g/f breaks up with you that you still have feelings for them over every one else? but at the same time you still hate them? Im STILL yours even if your not mine" .. self explanitory.. "you can soften the blow but you cant stop the sting".. well u can make it a little bit easier on breaking up with them.. but it still hurts.... "i needed changes but not this because this is not painless".. well he could see he needed to change things in his life.. but not this because its to hard on ..

General CommentI actually think that youse kids are wrong. If I were to guess, I’d say its about him breaking up with a girl, made clear by the line, “And I know that I needed changes. But not this, this is not painless.” To me this says that he broke up with a girl to soon. Maybe came to a rash conclusion about something, decided he needed a change, and broke up with her. Maybe expecting to get back together with her, to teach her a lesson perhaps. Then she moved on, and he didn’t. he is still very much in love with her, expected to hurt her, then she, as women often do, found someone else and pretty much forgot about him. So he is in tremendous pain, and she is care free now. He’s brokenhearted about prematurely leaving someone he really loved. I’ve don’t that more than once, and to me, that’s exactly how it came across.

General CommentAfter listening to this song multiple times i think that this song, like many others, has many meaings and depending on the situation that the listener is in, that will lead to that person taking the song in a different way.

General Commentits emotional near the end and how he concludes "nothing at all"

i saw it as a guy who tried to become a christian but he failed, it hurt because he'd separated himself from old friends who were bad or whatever. And the first verse talks about being humble and content and he's not managing that. he's been goin through changes, but he doesnt feel spiritual after all that

General CommentI see where most of you are coming from with it being about a Break-Up. It definitely could be about that.
But I don't think it necessarily is. It really works for any challenge in life.
I mean, the basic gist of it is, something struck him hard, he feels weak, but he's trying to improve and be stronger.
Although, it does work especially well for a break up situation (or maybe not even a breakup. Could just be he got rejected)
I think it is, because of lines like "I'm still yours even if you're not mine", where it pretty much says it clearly. She doesn't love him anymore, but he still would do anything for her.

General Comment"Oh I took my place at the back of the crowd

Baby I couldn’t see, but at least it was loud.

    At least it was loud."

    easily best part to me
"oh I took my place at the back of the crowd"
to me I think this means he's lost his drive and direction in life, moved off to the sideline, now that he's lost the girl he may just be another guy in the croud, where as being inlove, the girl or guy is the only person you see in a croud

"Baby I couldn't see but atleast it was loud"
    Couldn't see, pretty lost inside
and saying it was loud, he may be reflecting on the past positively and the good times he had with her and how strong he felt for her

or I could be completely wrong,
