He ususally brings the car around
and parks it outside our house,
And he talks to me a lonliness
and the feelings around,
So he takes out all these women
but he doesn´t feel a thing,
And he thinks there´s something missing,
there´s something wrong with him.
´Coz he reels them in and he reels them out again.
And all of these old mistakes they,
they catch us up,
And the same old patterns form again.
´Til everyday and everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same.
I usually bring the car out front
and she gathers up and finds her things,
Well he can´t see where his friends stop
and his, his lovers begin.
He says I cannot be around you because God knows it hurts,
But i cannot be without you because it´s much much worse,
So he reels me in and he reels me out again.
And all of these old mistakes they,
they catch us up,
And the same old patterns form again.
´Til everyday and everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same.
And he reels me in and he reels me out again,
And I reel her in and I reel her out again,
Reel her in and reel I her out again,
´Til everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same.
and parks it outside our house,
And he talks to me a lonliness
and the feelings around,
So he takes out all these women
but he doesn´t feel a thing,
And he thinks there´s something missing,

´Coz he reels them in and he reels them out again.
And all of these old mistakes they,

And the same old patterns form again.
´Til everyday and everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same.
I usually bring the car out front

´Til everyday and everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same.
And he reels me in and he reels me out again,
And I reel her in and I reel her out again,
Reel her in and reel I her out again,
´Til everyday feels the same,
And everyday feels the same.

Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

yeah i think it's about a guy who can't commit (reels them in and reels them out), who can't decide and make up his mind about what he wants. and it's starting to get old for her "every day feels the same".. i LOVE this song. so. so. much.
