"Blink" as written by Erez Eisen, Amit Duvdevani and Michele Rachael Adamson....
Don't smoke don't drink
All I do is think about the lifelines, hard times
Trying to be kind, so quit your drama, palaver
Trying to amuse myself

Beats and waves will take my to my grave
And when I go there I know that I won't be alone
Cause I've been spotted, blotted
Many, many times before

Eased and pleased, released from my shoes
I will be flying above the hatred and the love
And if you see me honey
You had better blink your eyes

Strange how minds blur into one
Bend with me and have some fun
Drugs unwind to blow our mind
This is the way to expand the time

Trouble comes in many forms
I'll show you mine if you show me yours

Walking out of the circle
Step by step i'm learning alone
That I can conquer my demons
Just need to remember my home

There's no need to be frightened
We all already are dead
But yet, our unending vibration
Danger lives only in my head

Come on, break through with me
Such wonders terrify the soul
It's real, no need to question
Knowledge infiltrates the whole

Lightning strikes in the darkest places
Om mani padme hum
Threatened we have to make choices
Lizards try to tell us which one

Strange how minds blur into one
Bend with me and have some fun
Drugs unwind to blow our mind
This is the way to expand the time

Trouble comes in many forms
I'll show you mine if you show me yours

Strange how minds blur into one
Bend with me and have some fun
Drugs unwind to blow our minds
This is the way to expand the time

Trouble comes in many forms
I'll show you mine if you show me yours

Don't smoke, don't drink
All I do is think about the lifelines, hard times
Trying to be kind, so quit your drama, palaver
Trying to amuse myself

Beats and waves will take me to my grave
And when I go there I know that I won't be alone
Cause I've been spotted, blotted
Many, many times before

Eased and pleased, released from my shoes
I will be flying above the hatred and the love
And if you see me honey
You had better blink your eyes

    General CommentMore potential LSD references:
"beats and waves will take my to my grave" could refer to ego-loss that comes in high doses, which could be described as a feeling of death, or at least "death" of your ego and reality as you know it. "Beats and waves" are external forces, music can affect the tide of a trip considerably.

"threatened we have to make choices
lizards try to tell us wich one"
This could be a simple reference to a hallucination of lizards trying to point "us" in the right direction. However, it could mean something more than that.

"strange how lines blur into one" - definately an LSD reference, one of the first symptoms of a trip is walls melting and patterns coming alive.

    "walking out of the circle
step by step i'm learning alone
that I can conqure my demons
just need to remember my home"
"Walking out of the circle" - increased perception of the world, the "circle" is life, sober reality.
Conquering demons - LSD is very useful for psychotherapy, people have said that whilst under the influence it is easier to see your life from a different perspective and better analyse your problems.
"Remember my home" - it is still only a trip, and the key to a positive mindset is to remember that it's only a trip and that you will "return" to reality - "home"

"cus' I've been spotted blotted" - like the previous poster mentioned, "spotted" is a direct reference to LSD which comes in blotter tabs.

    "come break through with me
    such wonders terrify the soul
its real, no need to question
    knowledge infiltrates the whole"
Breaking through is a reference to entering a new, higher level of psychedelic perception. Breaking through the barrier of sobriety, you could say.
"Such wonders terrify the soul" It can be a terrifying experience, because the feelings can be too intense at first.
"It's real" - Most of the time it's difficult to decipher what is real and what is merely a perception, most of the hallucinations appear as real as it gets.

The line "danger lurks only in my head" states that even though the experience can be terrifying, the way to overcome the fear is a realisation that it's all mental and can be controlled.

and I have no doubt that this song is about LSD, my reasoning being these quotes "I've been spotted blotted" blotted is just another way of saying that she was under the influence of LSD which comes on blotters or tiny bits of paper, "strange how lines blur into one
blend with me and have some fun
drugs unwind to blow our mind
this is the way to expand the time" lines blurring, blending, blowing our minds, and expanding time are all associated with hallucinogenic substances. LSD can be a powerful spiritual substance, providing you with intense feelings of joy and happiness. it can also take a darker turn and give you negative emotions..depending upon the individual.

Translationahh, i've listened to this song so many times and i STILL have questions/doubts about some of the lyrics. sorry this is so long! i wanted to be comprehensive without breaking it up into several separate comments. i DID use special spaces and formatting in an attempt to make it easier to read and follow, though! :)

    well, here's what i hear:

    "Don't smoke, don't drink
All I do is think about the lifelines, hard times
Trying to be kind, such a drama, palavra
    Trying to amuse myself

Beats and waves will take my to my grave
And when I go there I know that I won't be alone
    'Cause I've been spotted, blotted
    Many, many times before [1]

Eased and pleased, released from my shoes [2]
I will be flying above the hatred and the love
And if you see me, honey
You had better blink your eyes

Strange how minds blur into one [3]
Bend with me and have some fun [4]
Drugs unwind to blow our minds [5]
This is the way to expand the time

    Travel comes in many forms
I'll show you mine if you show me yours

    Walking out of the circle
Step by step I'm learning alone
That I can conquer my demons
Just need to remember my home

There's no need to be frightened
    We all already are dead
    But yet, our unending vibration
Danger lives only in my head [6]

THE LYRICS I HEAR FOR SPECIFIC LINES (numbered above):

[1] given lyric: "Mini, many times before"
what i hear: "Many, many times before"

this line doesn't require much explanation. while it sounds like it could be "mini, many," it sounds like it could be "mini, mini" also for that matter. i think it's just the singer's accent that makes it sound that way, and "many, many" is much more likely the correct lyric.
    ----- ----- -----
[2] given lyric: "Eased and pleased, released from my shive"
what i hear: "eased and pleased, released from my shoes"

i have no reason/explanation as to why, other than that's what i hear when i listen to it. i mean, "shoes" makes potential sense - if you're having a good trip, perhaps you're less aware of your body and more focused on your mental, spiritual, and experiential journey. "released from my shoes" could be symbolic of the release from the material world into a more transcendent, metaphysical state (tripping!).
    ----- ----- -----
[3] given lyric: "strange how LINES blur into one"
what i hear: "strange how MINDS blur into one"

i'm not sold on my interpretation BUT i hear "minds" over "lines," and "minds blur into one" as opposed to "lines blur into one" makes more sense. well to me anyway, within the context of the rest of the song. but especially considering the next line:
    ----- ----- -----
[4] given lyric: "BLEND/BOND with me and have some fun"
what i hear: "BEND with me and have some fun"

for the longest time i thought it was "bend." however, considering the obvious LSD/tripping theme of the song, "blend" is just as likely. i mean, when you're tripping you often feel like you're stepping outside the narrow perception we have of reality, space, and time (i.e. it's common when under the influence of a hallucinogen for a person to have an altered perception of time, one hour could feel more like 5, the next could pass in what feels like 5 minutes!) so your concept of reality and your experience of it essentially bends!

it just as likely could be blend, though. especially if the POV of the song is one friend saying to another "hey, let's drop acid together! it'll be a great time and we'll learn some shit!" and of course, hallucinogen substances have strong ego-suppression effects. the divisions between one's self and nature, other people/sentient beings, etc. become MUCH less defined. they can dissolve so much that one is able to recognize and directly experience/feel the connectivity between all things, especially between all living things. your self 'blends' with everything else.

and i definitely don't think it's "bond," that's kind of silly imo. you need an intact ego to bond to another person, this whole song is about expanding one's consciousness with the help of LSD - ego forfeiture.
    ----- ----- -----
[5] given lyric: "to blow our mind"
what i hear: "DRUGS UNWIND to blow our minds"

whoever originally posted this song's lyrics left this line incomplete, probably just didn't know what the rest of the words were at the time they submitted it. but listening to this verse, i definitely hear "drugs unwind" and it makes sense.
    ----- ----- -----
[6] original lyric: "danger LURKS only in my head"
what i hear: "danger LIVES/LIES only in my head"

i don't hear "urk," it almost sounds like "loves," which of course isn't correct. but considering her possible accent, it's just as likely to be "lurks" as "lies" or "lives." i think the correct lyric is lives, though. danger (and therefore, fear) is a completely subjective, individual phenomena - it only exists (lives!) if YOU allow it to. that's why i think it's "danger lives only in my head." if one chooses not to be afraid of something, that fear/danger ceases to exist at all (if fear is mental, then it only exists/lives in one's mind!).
    ----- ----- -----
[7] given lyric: "lizards try to tell us which one"
what i hear: "lizards try to tell us which one"

well, i've just listened to this line about 5x in a row and i definitely hear "lizards." another commenter suggested "they just try to tell us which one" as an alternative, but i just don't hear hear that.
    ----- ----- -----
[8] given lyric: "trouble comes in many forms"
what i hear: "travel comes in many forms"

i know this line isn't in question (at least among previous commenters here) but it's worth discussing because a) the way it's sung, "travel" is just as likely as "trouble," and b) "travel comes in many forms" would fit with the rest of the song AND the very next line of the song: "i'll show you mine if you show me yours." they're obviously not talking about body parts haha.

this entire verse is either "trouble comes in many forms, i'll show you mine if you show me yours" OR "travel comes in many forms, i'll show you mine if you show me yours." so, this could potentially be refering to a pair of LSD-trippers who are 'taking turns showing' each other their respective 'form' of either 'trouble' or 'travel.' essentially, "i'll show you something really cool, but be careful [i.e. trouble] 'cuz it could BLOW YA MIND!" haha. OR 'take turns showing' each other their 'form' of 'travel,' in which travel represents a novel, enlightening, or radical perspective on something.

General CommentThis song has a nice sound to it. Maybe the woman singing is talking about reaching some kind of epiphany. Thinking about hard times throughout life and how often bad things have happened to herself. She thinks she may be being to dramatic about all this but she thinks she knows a thing or two about how life works. "Honey" had better blink their eyes because she'll be bright as the sun by the time she's through with her transformation. Of course, she wants "honey" to experience the same feelings as she feels. She's saying that the mind can trick you when you think and face the unknown but once you learn, and keep your right mind, you'll overcome your strives. Like mind over matter.

    General Commenti thought it was
"threatened we have to make choices,
THEY JUST try to tell us which one"

    &

"eased and pleased released from my SHEATH"

its real cause it is, no need to question, whatever you are seeing or thinking may be induced but its real.

unless your listening to None of This is Real then well nothing is, haha their just talking on different levels..

General Commentalso, in the first verse it's actually "quit your drama, palaver"

palaver as a verb means to "talk unnecessarily at length," and as a noun "prolonged and idle discussion." mind expansion entails the quieting of the ego, and idle words and pointless verbosity are manifestations of ego.

General CommentClearly, this song is about the psychedelic compound known as DMT. Infected Mushroom, Michele Adamson (this songs vocalist) her solo work and with Shpongle all have songs about DMT.

Im not going to go into the effects or try to describe DMT, here, if you want to research it further thats up to you. Its one of those things you have to experience before you'll ever have a clue to whats going on. Once you've done it, you'll know what this song is ALL about.

There's no need to be frightened
    We all already are dead
    But yet, our unending vibration
Danger lives only in my head

Come on, break through with me
    Such wonders terrify the soul
It's real, no need to question
    Knowledge infiltrates the whole

Michele is talking about a DMT Breakthrough.
Do a little bit of research for yourself here, if you don't already know whats going on. As i said, I'm not even going to try and attempt to explain that one. You kinda have to do it to know.

"If you see me honey, you had better blink your eyes" means, if you can see her right now, while shes so rediculously high on DMT that if you can see her while she is "broken through" you better try and wake up or you're probably already dead.

My InterpretationI've only heard this a couple of times so granted my interpretation could be way off.

But I had a very different perception of this than what you guys have mentioned. I thought this may have been a song that was from Erez's perspective on his life because he mentions he doesn't smoke or drink (and I'm guessing Amit does :)

Beats and waves refer to his obsession with music. Obviously this can be interpreted with the double meaning of drugs, but the "Dont smoke don't drink" cannot be ignored? ..Not sure..have to listen many more times now as I've been doing all their songs starting with the newest.
