"Songbird" as written by and Bernard Joseph Fanning....
I wish I knew wish button to push
Then I'd know how to please you
It's sad but true
So I'll just listen in down the line
While you're busy mixing grape with grain
To sedate your pain

Songbird, you got tales to tell
How many times can you describe your living hell?

The sweeping gesture creates a fuss
It's only useful when receiving praise
Relieving no-ones pain
If you'd let somebody love you just enough
You'd have everything you'd need to break
Free from all your pain

Songbird, you got tales to tell
How many times can you describe your living hell?

If you'd let somebody love you just enough

General CommentFirst off all this song rings me back to banff days, siiting in my dorm head to head with one of my amazing australian friends reminicing past times. He was my founder when it came to bernie. Such an amazing tune to listen and think too. I hear a songbird in my ear everyday of my life. Powder finger is aazing, but pretty much every song on the album tea and sympathy is amazing. Hes soo down to earth and beyond lovely. This ones for you bernard. you healed my heart
