"Solemn Sea" as written by Alexander Krull, Christian Lukhaup, Thorsten Bauer, Mathias Roederer and Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull....
Seil den sterke sjo
Solen har gatt end
I det vide havet
I det morke dypet
Hviler en drom
Om et ukjent land

The music of your heartbeat brightens me
Turn my fears into hope
Oceans of blue

Darkening sky the shadows fall
Foaming waves shatter us
I cry aloud to the sky
Solemn sea save me

Solemn sea save me
Watch and wait for the next
Attacking waves, ice cold rain
The black mirror of the sea
Watching me, save me

The humming of the waves frightens me
Turn my fears into hope
Oceans of blue

A thunder storm roars at me
My body shakes in the rain
Lightening rays spearing me
A thousand spears haunting me

General CommentI can't believe no one is here. I think its about 2 lovers that are separated. One is out to sea and the other is waiting. The one out in the sea is hoping the sea will lead him back home, but at the same time, fears the sea.

General CommentThe whole album tells a story of a group of vikings who leave Norway in search of a new land. Vinland Saga is the intro, Farewell Proud Men says of when they embark on their journey and in Elegy we see the thoughts of two lovers, a man who went on the journey and the woman he left behind. This song, is a continuation, she worries about him because she sees that the sea and weather are rough and his perspective show that they are sailing through a storm and he prays for a solemn (still) sea.

    Norwegian part:

Sail the strong sea, the sun
has gone down into the wide ocean
    in the dark depths rests
a dream of an unknown land
