Hold you as waves crash down on the Jersey Shore
Can't think of a time when I needed this more
Your skin is so pale, reflecting the moon's glow
Please don't talk too much, baby
I don't wanna know

Breathe on your neck, make knots with our fingers
I know that soon you'll be out of my reach
Kiss closed mouth to open eyes
Stall one last moment before goodbye

Drive in different cars in different directions
Never write all the letters full of good words, better intentions
It's for the best although I don't know it
Paper words only cheapen the moments we shared

It's better I say nothing at all
Nothing at all

You were so perfect but not everlasting
I'm almost convinced that we never happened
You were so perfect but not everlasting
I'm almost convinced that we never happened

It's better if we say nothing at all
Nothing at all

    General Commentgreatest pencey prep song

it means that there are these 2 people dating then eventually she has to leave then that night was theyre last night together then she left and he's saying that it was so perfect that it was to good to ever be true.

    thats what i think.

General CommentIt's typical guy meets girl, guy falls for girl who falls for guy, spend awesome summer together, then she goes back to where she's from or something like that.

Either that or they hook up, then dont talk because of the awkward feelings they may share. And he's just saying how badly he wants things to return to the way they were that one blissful night.

Such an amazing song, I love it.
