"The Others" as written by Ola Salo, Martin Karl Axen Persson, Mikael Bjoern-ingel Jepsson, Lars Henrik Ljungberg and Sylvester David Olof Schlegel....
I'm getting tired and sick
Of you calling it chick
To describe what is that I am
When I know that I'm damned
'Cause I got no own place to go
I'm getting sick and tired

You say you know my kind
But I'm a one of a kind
I'm blind leading blind
'Cause we got no own place to go

But we're the pounding of the drums
We're your next-door-neighbours
You sure must have known
You got nowhere to go

The Others, O-oh-Oh!
The Others, O-oh-Oh!
The In-Lovers, O-oh-Oh!

I'm building an army of misplaced lovers
Known as "the others"
Working under covers of love
'Cause we got nowhere else to go

Gonna enlist every baldheaded chick with a dick
Every queer that is here so you stupid gits
Know, you're fucked up, nowhere to go

Hear the pounding of the drums
From you next-door-neighbour
You sure must have known
You got nowhere to go

The Others, O-oh-Oh!
The Others, O-oh-Oh!
The In-Lovers, O-oh-Oh!

I'm building an army of misplaced lovers
Known as "the others"
Working under covers

The others

General CommentThis song is amazing. Its about people who don't fit into our concepts of acceptable gender/sexuality identity.

    "I’m getting sick
    Of you calling it ”chic”
To describe what is that I am
when I know that I’m damned,
cause I got no own place to go"

This is Ola saying that he doesn't dress or act the way he does for a trend, he can't be somebody he isn't

"But we’re the pounding of the drums
    We’re your next-door neighbour
    You sure must have known
    You got nowhere to go"

I see this part as, hey, get used to it, cause gender outlaws are everywherrre..you can't rid of them ;-)

Does anybody know the song "Freaks" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch? Reminds me of this a lot

General CommentSo, I'm not the only one who was reminded of "Freaks." As one of those Others he's singing about, I find this song encouraging. It's amazing how much one little song can help when you start feeling like everyone you meet hates you for being different than them.
