"My Maria" as written by Daniel Joseph Moore and Louis C. Stevenson....
My Maria don't you know I've come a long, long way
I been longin' to see her
When she's around she takes my blues away
Sweet Maria the sunlight surely hurts my eyes
I'm a lonely dreamer on a highway in the skies

Maria, Maria I love you

My Maria there were some blue and sorrow times
Just my thoughts about you bring back my piece of mind
Gypsy lady you're a mircle work for me
You set my soul free like a ship sailing on the sea
She is the sunlight when skies are grey
She treats me so right lady take me away

My Maria
Maria I love you
My Maria
Maria I love you

My Maria

General CommentI have loved this song for the longest time. When I was a girl, I wished my name was Maria so somebody could sing it to me.

General Commenti love this song i knew it first by brooks and dunn (their cover) it always made me feel good but i never quite got it, I know what he meant but now that i have my own "Maria" i feel whats being said. the lyrics perfectly describe how i feel when i think about her, the first line i especially identify with "My Maria don't you know I've come a long, long way" because i really have come a long, long way just to be with her and well.... when she's around she takes my blues away. ever want this macho man to feel mushy just play this.
