Did you ever think about the words
Coming out your mouth people
Don't listen, No, they just don't turn around
A useless sound
You keep saying more
It means less to me
Is it that you're so deaf
That you just can't see?

So you stop and take a look around
Something will get you off the ground
You try...Do you even know why?
Well it's hard to say, But I'm pretty sure
'cause' last time I checked
Everything seemed to be in place

Did you ever think
That you're so alone?
You better stop and think
Before it's all over

Please be quiet so I can sleep tonight
What should I do when nothing is right?
Man, I just don't know...

If you never learned to read what the signs say,
How do you know you're going the right way?

Well, it's hard to say if it's not an act
I can't keep my distance,
Everything turns to black
I've left myself open to attack

Did you ever think
That all the things you say
Sound so naive?

Please shut up so I can sleep tonight
What am I supposed to do
When nothing feels right

Fuck

Did you ever - think think think think think
I really don't think
You ever think

this song is about beeing stoned... starting with laughs (the voice is absoletely stoned)

"Did you ever think about the words Coming out your mouth? People don't listen, no, they don't turn around A useless sound You keep saying more It means less to me Is it that you're so deaf That you just can't see?"

when you are stoned you may talk realy silent or say stupid things that nobody cares about...and then you start thinking why there are not paying attention to you...

"So you stop and take a look around Something will get you off the ground You try... "

when u are stoned (realy stoned) it's hard to move..for example you may wanna get up but you can't and you are like : wtf i wanna move but i can't

"Well it's hard to say but I'm pretty sure Cos' last time I checked Everything seemed to be in place"

it's about the same but with your eyes you kinda loose contact with the world and everything seems diferent...maybe the colors, maybe the speed of the people around you..anyway you can't control ur vision quite well...

" Please be quiet so I can sleep tonight What should I do when nothing is right? Man, I just don't know..."

this is my favorite :P when u are really fucked you want everybody to shut up and just let you sleep...so this speaks for it self

"Well, it's hard to say if it's not an act I can't keep my distance Everything turns to black I've left myself open to attack"

well the distance is when u try to stare at something and it looks far away or it moves in and out... about the black it's when ur ayes are closing without u knowing it... and left myself open to attack is that you can't protect ur self even if they attack you...

so this is pretty much all of it... i love listening to this song when i'm stoned..it makes me think...

also the video clip: they are playing bascet ball..try palying bascetball stoned it's pretty fucking amazing :P

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
